Hamilton was ADOPTED!!!! Hamilton, now known by the distinguished name of Ernest “Ernie” Hemingway Neatherly III, was adopted today. Ernie was super excited to join his new furever family. We have been talking about it for days and he is ready for all the new adventures, fun times and non stop love that are coming his way. You deserve it Ernie! It is truly a Happy Thanksgiving for this handsome, very special bully.
Hamilton joins rescue today as a owner surrender. He heartworm positive and needs to have his cherry eyes fixed. Hamilton is good with kids, other dogs and loves to be around humans. Stay tuned for more details once Hamilton joins his foster family
10/25/2015 Update: Hamilton is super laid back which is good since he has to spend most of his time resting from his heartworm treatment. He is also recovering from his neuter and cherry eye surgery. As you can tell from his “after” photos, he looks like a different dog. Hamilton has only been with his foster family for a few days so there is a lot more to learn about him. He is crate trained and has had no accidents in the house. So far he hasn’t made a sound and doesn’t seem interested in toys or nylabones. He rides great in the car and walks well on a leash. Hamilton will meet his foster siblings soon and that should go well. He has only seen them through the doggie gate up to now. He also completely ignores the cat. Keep checking back for more updates and pictures
11/1/2015 Update: Hamilton had a good week chillin’. Because he has to remain calm for about a month, there’s not a lot new to report. He spends his day resting and eating with short visits outside. He still continues to be super quiet. He has now met his foster siblings and gets along well with everyone
11/8/2015 Update: Hamilton is still on bed rest but is feeling much better and has found his voice! He surprised his foster mom when he barked at the sound of the front doorbell. He ventured out on his own to meet new people and patiently waited his turn for head scratches and belly rubs. Hamilton is looking forward to the day he is through with his treatment and able to play with his new furever family.
