My heart is heavy as I have received very sad news on one of my former foster babies.
This morning, Queen Buttercup (formerly Ioda) crossed the Rainbow Bridge. It was January, four years ago, we were at an event in McKinney, when Buttercup’s furever mama walked into Hollywood Feed to see the Bulldogs and do some shopping. She met Ioda and instantly fell in love. She went home and immediately filled out an application. A few weeks later, we were working out the details for her adoption. On Jan. 31, 2015, the beautiful “Lady in Waiting” was adopted and crowned “Princess Buttercup.” It didn’t take this ambitious royal princess long to gain the rights and title she deserved, as the true Queen of the House.
Her majesty’s furever mama wrote me this morning:
“Sadly, Buttercup has crossed the Rainbow Bridge…..I hope she and Gordon are running buddies, happy and healthy. Thank you for all of the love I have known from my sweet girl for 4 years. She left this world a queen that was loved dearly!”
I know both King Gordon and Queen Buttercup are furever friends, running free and happy together.
Meet Ioda! Stay tuned for more details about this owner surrender.
