Badger has found a fabulous forever home in the country! I have no doubt that this cute little flying monkey is where he belongs and will receive so much love from his new mom! Our hearts are filled with joy, especially at the site of seeing him run, which we have never seen before! Not only did he get a new mom, but also a couple of Bulldog playmates, Bella and Maddie, who live on the property, right next door, with his new mom’s daughter and son-n-law. Enjoy the life you deserve and make us proud, little guy… make us proud!
Welcome 5-year-old Badger to our rescue family. He was picked up roaming the streets and taken to a local shelter. He waited to be claimed, but no one ever came.
We know nothing of his background, but so far, he seems very sweet and well behaved. He walks well on a leash and was an excellent passenger. Like many Bulldogs from the shelters, his eyes, ears, tail and skin need a little work. He also has a little bit of a cough, but has been on meds at the shelter for that. He is heartworm negative and still needs to be neutered. He is a little short, stocky, reddish brown and white. His ears perk up just a little and he has just a little bit of a snout. He is determined to let go of his past and find the perfect new home.

6/18/18 Update: Badger came into rescue from the shelter with all kinds of infections. He is still being kept in isolation at the clinic, but that will probably change this week. He is such a sweet boy. He seems to get along well with everyone and everything. He walked well on a leash yesterday in the yard. There was another dog in the yard who was taking care of business and Badger walked toward him. About that time, the other dog kicked up a cloud of dust and dirt went right in Badger’s face. Our volunteer Ronnie was prepared for the worst, and Badger was not bothered at all. He needs to stay a while longer at the clinic to get everything cleared up and fixed. But he should make someone a really great foster dog, and then a wonderful forever pup.
8/6/18 Update: Yesterday, I had my check up at Veterinary Eye Institute and Dr. Warren was very happy to see that my beauuuti~ful eyes are doing so much better! Big thanks to my Foster Pops for always taking care of them for me! Foster Mums mentioned I must really like Rick (he’s the one who took pictures of my sweet lil’ eyes), as I couldn’t get to him fast enough! I’m happy to report that I will have to have just a *little* eye care for the rest of my life. Will you be the one to help me keep my eyes always at their best?
