Edsel

Edsel

We are happy to announce Edsel is a foster fail and will be staying with his loving family.

I must say, when my family loaded me up and dropped me off at the shelter, I was really surprised. I thought we had a good thing going. I had lived with them all my life, but then they decided that they did not have time for me any longer in my senior years. I’m really no problem… I use a doggie door, I sleep in my own bed and I am super friendly with everyone I meet. Oh well, life happens and here I am.

Yesterday, Dog Uber picked me up and we headed to Dr. Larsen’s for a photo shoot. Edsel was not my name, but Dog Uber and I talked classic cars all the way to the vet. I chose Edsel because I couldn’t remember my other name and I think Edsel fits me.

I sure hope there are some Bulldog lovers out there who love seniors and will appreciate the fact that I still have a lot of life and love to give to everyone.  Love, Edsel

12/19/219 Update:  Ho! Ho! Ho! From Edsel!  I’m all cozy in my bed writing to you.  I’m going to dream about Santa Paws bringing me a new family this year!  I am 8-years old, but I act like I am only 4 years old.  So, I’m not an old guy by any means.  Rescue found me in a Shelter and brought me home to live  with them!  I’m having a fun time here and I’ve made a lot of new friends.

I’m a healthy guy, no issues here.  I’m very playful and LOVE to snoop around into everything.  I use my nose and smell everything.  So, don’t bend over in front of me or your going to get a cold surprise!!!!!!  I was underweight when I got here, but they have real good food here, so I clean my bowl every time they fill it up.  Now I’m filling out and feeling good!  I have very good manners.  I know to do my business outside, I can use a doggie door, I know how to sleep in my own bed and I don’t jump on people.  I’m telling you about the jumping, because I have longer legs than some Bulldogs.  I don’t want you to think I use them improperly.  I’m a happy go lucky girl.  I love everyone, I’ll just come right up to you and say HI!

Look at my Christmas photos and see what a dapper guy I am.  Ignore the antlers on my head.  I don’t who’s idea that was.  Not a good one LADIES!  I really like posing for the camera.  Do you know they feed you while they photograph you.  I got bacon and cheese treats, I just had to lick my lips in one of my pics, they were so good.  I want my photos taken again, just for the treats.

Family is not just important at Christmas, it’s important all the time.  That’s why a family is so important to me.  You’re there for each other in the good times and bad times.   I’ll be there through all those times for my forever family, because I know what it’s like when your family isn’t there for you.  I want a family who will stick with me the rest of my life!

I hope Santa puts those BACON & CHEESE TREATS in my stocking this year!

1/6/20 Update:  I am such a lucky boy to be part of Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue! I think I hit the jackpot with my foster family. They picked me up from the vet’s office 11 days ago and I have been treated like a king at the “Bulldog House” ever since!

I am a little older than most, but I sure don’t act like it. I am a very active boy when I am outside. I love to go on walks and explore! I am house broken and I have been getting along just fine with the two resident Bulldogs.

My only problem is my tummy. It is sensitive and I have to be on a special diet for the rest of my life. Something we just figured out the hard way. My forever family needs to help me watch what I eat. I am very thin right now, but Foster Pops says he looks forward to putting weight on me and doing the before and after pics!

I really enjoying my comfy bed and blanket someone donated. Thank you so much for my gifts! I’m going now to get me a snack. Be on the lookout for my weight gain progress!

6/8/20 Update:  I know you haven’t heard from me in a while, but I have been getting healthy! You see, I have a tummy problem, but with the right food, it’s really not a problem! I am going to need someone who loves me sooo much that they will cook for me. My special meal is really easy, but oh very yummy ~ oven-roasted chicken thighs and livers with steamed veggies! Foster Momma says it smells like Thanksgiving! Maybe you wouldn’t mind being my master chef forever? I’ll be your best patron!
