My name is Maxx because I am maximum fun! In spite of that, I joined rescue today. My mom said the two Shih Tzus and I were just too much trouble, so she loaded us up in the car and took us to the shelter. I bet it was the fault of those two little yappy dogs. You always have to watch those little ones, right?

Anyway, here I am. I am only 11 months old and weigh 53 pounds. I have two bad cherry eyes that the rescue group will get fixed for me.Other than that, I look to be in pretty healthy shape.

I didn’t get much training in my old house, so I will need a family who is patient with a young pup like me. You will need to work with me on leash walking, potty training, and how to calm down a little.

But, I think I am a quick learner, so I will be good to go in no time at all. You better hurry up with those applications to see if you are a match for the Maxx!

6/17/19 Update:  We learned today that foster boy has Maxx has anaplasmosis platys, a tick-borne disease. There are two types of anaplasmosis: one infects the white blood cells, but this form infects the platelets. He will be treated with doxycycline for a month and should be fine. The doc was going to do his cherry eyes and neuter tomorrow, but she will wait to see what his platelet count is first. If it is low, she will have to wait 10 days. Please keep Maxx in your thoughts!

7/5/19 Update:  The Maxx Man turned 1 year old yesterday! Happy Birthday, sweet Maxx! This boy is settling into his foster home and experiencing new and exciting things every day. He is potty and crate trained, but still very much a puppy and has a lot to learn. This boy needs an active family – he’s not at the couch potato stage yet – that is willing to work with him on standard commands and manners. We’re working on them and he’s learning fast, but his family will need to continue with strong direction. Maxx is a sweet, loving, playful bulldozer looking for a family to start his new year!

7/10/19 Update:  The Maxx Man here, or as my foster mom calls me, Bulldozer, Mr. Trouble, Mad Maxx, Lugnut, Maxx No! I’m not sure what all of those nicknames mean because I’m just a happy boy that loves to have fun and play, play, play. She says that even though I just turned one, I’m more like a 6-month-old puppy that has a lot of learning to do.

Some things I do know? I love other dogs, I’m happy to go in my crate at night, I’m potty trained, I walk kind of OK on a leash, and I’m good with getting my eye drops. Oh, and I really love toys and Benebones. See all of them that I put in my bed? So, hey all you Bulldog lovers, spread the word that The Maxx Man/Bulldozer/Mr. Trouble/Mad Maxx/Lugnut/Maxx No! is ready and waiting for my forever family and can’t wait to meet you!
