On Sunday, the day that we were all have been praying for came. Meatball was adopted! Meatball joined Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue in early spring, by no fault of his own. He wasn’t too fond of other dogs and needed to be an only, and it’s just about impossible for us to find an approved foster home without any dogs. He was lovingly cared for at Country Dog Services by Leah and Chris, where he quickly became a favorite of many. Patience prevailed and paid off big time. A wonderful family came from far away just to meet him and boy, was it love at first sight! Meatball is now called Bear, and he has his forever family and a very well-deserved, happy ending. Tears of love, joy and happiness flowed by all and I’m sure that cute little tail hasn’t stopped wagging.
Please welcome 6 yr old Meatball to rescue. Meatball is a very handsome boy that can seem a little shy when he 1st meets new people. Once he warms up to you he loves to cuddle and be with his people. He loves all people and has been raised with kids. He appears to be very gentle and mild mannered. The perfect home for Meatball will be fur free. Meatball doesn’t like to share affection with other dogs or cats but he has more than enough love to fill the hearts of his forever family.
6/11/17 Update: Yo! I’m Meatball! You might think by my name that I’m a bit of a lug head. But, really I’m a sensitive, loving, smart boy that would like nothing more than to be by your side. I love to go for walks — I promise not to pull on your arm. I don’t mind going in my crate to sleep or just relax. I have a beautiful soft coat that’s so healthy. I understand that outside is where a dog like me takes care of their business. I do get boogers in my eye sometimes, but I sit patiently when the people that care for me clean them. My favorite place to be kissed is on my nose and I love snuggling. I don’t feel comfortable around other dogs and I know that might be why it’s taking a little longer for me to find my forever person. But, you know what… not everyone likes the dog park — and I think that’s OK! I’m still worthy of love and I know I’m a great companion. If you meet me, I will show you!
