Penelope Jane

Penelope Jane

Penelope packed her bags and headed south of Arlington. That’s right, she found her forever home It was a match made in heaven as soon as they laid their eyes on each other. Penelope ran toward them and laid down showing her belly. All smiles from her forever family. We made sure that she took her football and bear to make her feel at home. She is definitely in store for some late night walks. Hopefully, because she remains close, we will see her at some upcoming events. Congrats, Penelope, and we will miss you!

Penelope Jane enters rescue today with many tears shed. Her mom is a grad student living in a small apartment and trying to get her career started. So Penelope was staying with her parents in west Texas. Her mom knew an energetic four year old needed more. So she did her research and contacted us.

Penelope is a little fearful of new dogs and it takes her a while to warm up to them and relax around them. So slow introductions are a must. She is in great health and has always been well cared for. And there is something special about her. She came with a travel bag full of all kinds of stuff and one special thing. You see, she LOVES the water! She will dive in without a thought and sink right to the bottom. So she came with her very own swim vest! Penelope is a short chunk weighing in at 41 pounds. But she carries it well. Everybody will want to spend some time with this beautiful girl.

3/11/18 Update:  I am a proper lady that just loves life. I spend my time trying to play with my foster parents. As you may remember, I have a bear I carry around all the time. I have to go on a safari once a week and try to find it. My foster pops tells me it’s in the washer, but I can’t seem to find that thing. I found other toys to pass the time. If you can, find me a family that loves small footballs and soccer balls, please. The footballs I will carry around; then nudge you with them. What I want is for you to chase me and try to get it. I will warn you though, I am a quick one. Also, I love to place my paw on top of the soccer ball and have you try to take it from me. My crate is my happy place, where I keep my bear for the most part. Well, I’m off to go play, but share my story to help me find my perfect family.
