I want to thank Kathy and her husband for saving my life! I don’t know how long I had been wandering in the heat. It is all a blur, but it seemed like days. When they found me, they took me inside and contacted rescue.
I think I am around 4 years old, but I really don’t know how to tell time or read a calendar. I am told this nice Dr. Larsen has a magical way to tell and will let everyone know.
My eyes are a mess and always have a bunch of green goop in them. I have this painful, bleeding spot on my shoulder that is 6-8 inches in diameter. And boy was I filthy. I must have been outside or maybe even rolling in dirt for days.
A man from rescue met up with Kathy to help me. He took me home, gave me a bath and doctored my sores and my eyes. He said I could have all the water I could drink, and I have been taking him up on that offer. I have been staying inside in the A/C. I even got to watch a movie with the lady who lives here. They also scanned me for a microchip, but I’m “chipless.”
Today, I am off to meet Dr. Larsen and let her look at all my bad spots. She will have me fixed up as good as new in no time. Stay tuned to see how handsome I really am!
7/29/20 Update: Stanley’s healing is coming along very nicely. He is such a sweet boy and just appreciates everyone and everything. His eyes look so much better now that you can see them and he can see you. The goop buildup is almost gone. And the best news is that he is ready to go home to a foster!
