We are very sad to announce that Tigger suffered a stroke a few days ago that affected his entire left side. He had been doing so well before that and recovering from all his blood issues. He seemed to rally for a few days with almost round-the-clock care. But unfortunately he crossed the Rainbow Bridge due to organ failure. Sometimes life is just not fare to someone who brought so much joy into so many lives up until the end.
Tigger is as sweet as you would imagine with that name. He was an owner surrender due to some serious health issues and some changes in his family’s living and work schedules. When he stopped eating recently his family took him to an emergency vet. $4,000, a bunch of tests and a big bag of meds later, they brought him back home. With his health issues, it made it almost impossible for his family to provide all the care he needs. So they asked us to step in.
We will update you as we know more about his condition. But he has some anemic (IMHA) and immune issues and he is heartworm positive.
