At 2 years old, Winston Reid is just about 40 lbs of perfection!
Winston had a great family that was sad to see him go, but they believed he needed a family that understood skin problems, the importance of special dog food, medicated baths and can accommodate an occasional trip to see the dermatologist.
Today, Winston looks great. He just visited the vet for a Cytopoint shot for his itching. Winston needs a visit to Dr. Larsen’s to have a little surgery to help him with his overactive hormones because he certainly has “that loving feeling!”
Great days are ahead for Winston Reid, as he searches for his forever family that will love him, indeed, forever!
2/17/20 Update: TADA! And just like that, I was out of the vet clinic and into my foster home. So far, I have met three dogs and they were very nice to welcome me.
I am young and strong and they tell me I don’t do well on a leash. My foster pops will teach me how to walk and stay relaxed.
I had my stitches removed from my neuter and from where I had a tumor on my hind leg. The tumor was cancer, but it was a very low grade and they are sure it was all removed. It shouldn’t be a problem in the future. I still have stitches around my eyes where I had surgery. They will come out next week.
In the meantime, I just get to chill and relax in my new foster home. Foster Pops says I will get plenty to eat. He thinks a Bulldog should be a little more plump. Now that sounds like fun!
2/24/20 Update: It is quite obvious Winston Reid was loved and worked with in the past. He is totally house trained and lets you know when he needs to go outside. He sits patiently for treats. He is so full of life, and yet well-behaved. He plays well with others, or he will occupy himself playing with toys alone. He LOVES all kinds of balls and will play fetch!
And I must say he has wrapped foster mom around his paw! He knows how to work his way into your heart. He has done extremely well with the other dogs in the house and always walks away from any confrontation.
He would do well with even an inexperienced dog owner or bulldog owner. His allergies seem to be under control and his fur looks so much better. He has his eye stitches removed later this week.
He is ready for his forever home and I don’t think this sweet brindle boy will last long.
