Wolfgang (now Wolf)

Wolfgang (now Wolf)

Wolfgang has checked out of Mays’ Manor and checked into his furever home!
Wolf waited a long time for the right family for him and his patience paid off! He will have all the love and attention this boy deserves from his new dad, skin brother and skin sister.
Wolf will be keeping his name because his new dad is a Kansas City Chiefs fan and well, their mascot’s name is KC Wolf. Talk about a match made in heaven!
Wolf is a very special boy and his new dad will continue to help Wolf grow into the perfect pup he was born to be! I am very happy and excited to see how Wolf blossoms in his new environment. Your sweet spazzy kisses will be forever missed, Wolf!

Santa, please note: I have a new address. It’s true ~ I was adopted and things just didn’t work out for me. Everyone really wanted it to and everyone loved me. But then the fights with the resident dog started. Then I was acting aggressive over the food bowl. When I was in time-out, I cried, I barked and I even howled. I did not like not being separated from my family.

Everyone knew that I was not happy. After a heart-to-heart with my new family, everyone agreed that returning to rescue was the best option for me.

So, Santa, please find me a family that may have someone who works from home. Perhaps a female dog or no dog at all is fine with me. Lots of food and plenty of treats would also be good! I am fabulous on a leash, love to ride in the car, and will sit as sweet as can be.

Santa, I know you have a family just for me. You just need to dig deep into that big ol’ red bag.

No matter how long or how short the foster stay is, it doesn’t get easier. Wolfgang came, he saw and he conquered foster land, and he left his foster family with so much love for him! It also was love at first sight for him and the forever family he won the lottery with. Wolfgang, now Blitz, has a mom, dad, fur brother and two fur sisters to call his own and give his love to forever. This was a match made in heaven… the perfect family has been created!

When we met these two on Saturday, there was an ‘Eruption‘ of love! Meet Van Halen and Wolfgang, the duo that will make you want to ‘Jump‘ for joy. Handsome, (for the most part) well-behaved, crate trained, professional backseat drivers, great snugglers, snore-kings and ready for a furever family. They will get acclimated in no time!!

Together, they are best buds, share their food and play fight – but think ‘Everybody Wants Some‘ and wanted our foster bully Brisket to join the fun, but he didn’t welcome the bully bonding as much…Wolfgang says, “Why Can’t This Be Love?!”

Fun Fact about Wolfgang the Bully: His little long body can jump on almost anything, couch, chairs, over a baby gate etc! Wolfgang did test positive for Demodex mites and will need further treatment.

11/2/20 Update:  Here’s my headline: Tame Wolf pup with a wild side seeking long-term couch companion ready for adventure!

My name is Wolfgang, or Wolf to my closest friends. I’m a little over a year old and the best time of my life starts now. I have been in my foster home for three days and let me just say, what a whirlwind it’s been!
Foster mom tells me I’m a fast learner. I’m doing really well with potty training and I already learned that the couch is my new best friend. Alert: I love to cuddle! So if you are sitting on the couch, plan on me cuddling up with you.
Keep following me and my adventures in foster land and all you couch cuddlers need to apply.
11/12/20 Update:  Wolfgang is doing great in his foster home after just a little over a week. He is such a sweet boy and just wants to be by your side or your shadow.
His playful side is starting to come out, as he adjusts to the resident dogs, and he is learning about the joys of toys.
He loves kids, and prefers to cuddle with them. He can get puppy playful until the fun police (AKA me) tells him to stop. He knows the word “no” and is a good listener and a quick learner.
We have found that he is so inquisitive with cats that he would do better in a home without one. He is just exploring all of his surroundings and figuring out what being a puppy actually is, and he embraces it.
✅ He sleeps through the night in his crate.
✅ He walks great on a leash.
✅ He knows to do his business outside.
His ideal family will have plenty of lap space for him and be willing to help him grow – he’s still working on basic commands, like sit. Like any toddler, he has a stubborn side, but in the end, he just wants to please you.

12/29/20 Update:   I took in some tennis today and, wow, I was fabulous on the court. I was here, there and everywhere. My opponent was on the large size and he just sat down and watched me from afar. I probably had the advantage because I am young and in shape and he is old and rather round.

I’m still looking for a furever family that likes to walk (or play tennis) and needs a companion. I need to be the only thing with fur in the family because I can get jealous when someone is getting the attention. I think that should be all mine. Send in your application and maybe I’ll be a match for you. I will be ready to go when you say, “Let’s roll.”

1/2/21 Update:  Wolfgang enjoyed the extra humans hanging around Mays’ Manor this past week!

The most important thing to know about Wolf is that he is a snuggler! Snuggling is his favorite thing to do. He loves all humans, but other pups not so much.
Wolf doesn’t like being separated from his human, so he is currently learning to enjoy alone time.
He’s a rambunctious and very playful pup that has a lot of energy. He needs plenty of exercise to help expend it! He’s a very athletic boy and can clear a standard baby gate without a running start.

1/6/21 Update:  Wolfgang loved going to Atwoods. After walking around for 20 minutes and having his bath, he slept like a baby last night! He’s a perfect pup at bath time! With little-to-no anxiety at bedtime, that’s a win for foster mom!

1/25/21 Update: Foster boy Wolfgang has been working on his ad copy:

Handsome, young, active, athletic, opinionated and affectionate male seeking a forever family.
I would love if I could sleep in your big bed and it would be great if someone in the family was home during the day! I’m currently living without these accommodations, so it’s not a deal breaker, but these things would be greatly appreciated.
If these are qualities you are looking for in a soul mate, please swipe right or put in your application and maybe we’ll be matched. A handsome guy like myself doesn’t stay single long!
2/16/21 Update:  I’m sending my deepest condolences to all the four-legged squatters out there! I really want Foster Mom to pick me up and tell me I don’t have to come back out here.
3/2/21 Update:  I have some exciting news… I’m going to have a little surgery on Wednesday and it’s supposed to help me breathe better. Foster Mom said something about soft palate something or another. I hope it allows me to run faster and longer!
Once I heal from that, I hope I’ll be able to find my furever home. I would love an active family, maybe one with older kids. I don’t mind the younger ones, but I like to go full throttle and the little ones might get knocked down.
In the meantime, please send some good vibes my way and get in your application. You may be matched to me!
4/3/21 Update:  Since my surgery, I’m doing fantastic. This week, I helped Foster Mom lay grass and helped get her pots ready for planting. I ran and rolled without any problems. I’m a fun, very energetic guy who loves to play. When I’m done playing, I like to lounge on the couch, preferably with a human.

5/27/21 Update:  Bo and Wolf continue to be the perfect gentlemen.

Bo’s perfect furever home will be calm and chill. He is doing a fabulous job learning to tolerate the wild and crazy, but would be happiest in a home by himself or with fur siblings that are as chill as him. He definitely likes his own space.
Wolf is like a ping pong ball that may hit every wall before settling into a spot. Luckily, it doesnt last long. He does have a little issue with his trachea. When he gets over excited, his trachea will cause some breathing issues. I just put him in his kennel until he calms down. He would be happiest as an only pup.
