Zelda has been adopted! It was Zelda’s dream day! Zelda had been waiting for her family and today was the day. Liz, Clay, Mary Carlisle and brother Dutch were just the family she wanted. A family with kids with a stay-at-home mom and all the love in the world. Zelda is still shy and sometimes will hide, but Mary Carlisle will be her new best friend. Zelda has tutus In her future, and an older Bulldog brother, Teddy, who will make her feel right at home!
At the age of 20 months Zelda’s career as a ballerina was over. Zelda was told to hang up her dancing shoes, to put away her tutu, and forget her dreams of being on Broadway. Crushed, she was! Zelda had spent most of her life waiting for the chance to dance! Zelda had the moves, the rhythm, but now she has the Blues. Zelda has hip dysplasia. Hip dysplasia is a genetic disorder in which dogs have poor fitting hip joints. Zelda does not understand this. At 20 months she is like all other bulldogs — fast, really fast; sweet, really sweet; and beautiful, really beautiful. Zelda is really small and short to the ground, but like a worm in hot ashes. She is not a fan of being carried. She will let you carry her, but she is constantly struggling to jump out of your arms and run. Zelda likes to run and run fast. Zelda’s future is bright. She should not pack on a lot of extra weight, she should take joint supplements and she should be sleeping on someone’s couch. Totally in love with a bulldog named Zelda!
