Adam

Adam

My name is Adam, and like that first Adam, I have seen the face of God. I have also seen the Rainbow Bridge. In fact, I was about to step across it when this nice lady pulled me back into this world.

I was severely injured in a dog fight and left in a pasture to die. My body has so many puncture wounds, I don’t think you can count them all. But then this lady took me to a vet where they gave me emergency care. I even got my first IV! Then someone came and got me and took me to another vet where they bathed me, cleaned all my wounds and cut away some dead skin. They also pushed out some of the puss that was growing under my skin. I am only about 3 years old, but I have the experiences of a wise, old dog. I am still very sick. But so many people have done so much to help me, I promise to work real hard to get better and put off that Rainbow Bridge for a few more years. Keep up with me and see how I get better.

8/21/17 Update:  Adam has struggled the past several days. But today he became even weaker. he has been bleeding internally and we have been unable to stop it. His veins collapsed and we could no longer give an IV. This afternoon, sweet Adam crossed the Rainbow Bridge surrounded by vet staff and rescue volunteers. His pain and suffering is now over. We wish him the best as he now runs through the green grass in no pain.
