On August 5, 2006, we adopted our baby Maggie from Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue. She had been on the streets of Fort Worth and was treated for mange. She weighed only about 20 pounds when they found her. Maggie ended her 14-year journey on July 11, 2019. She was the toughest dog we ever knew, enduring six surgeries in her lifetime and also fighting a year-long battle with heart failure issues. During it all, she continued to “Rule the Roost’ with our other dogs and bring happiness to our family. She traveled cross country with us and was able to “retire” near the beach with us in California for the last few years. She was described by our vet as “full of piss and vinegar” until the very end. She will be missed, but now goes on to join our other Bulldogs who have passed away over the years. We will miss you, Maggie!
