I wanted to notify the rescue that yesterday we had to say goodbye to our beloved Toby. We adopted Toby on March 26, 2016 and were so blessed to have him in our lives for nearly 3 years. He is the first bulldog we ever adopted, and made such an impact on all our lives. Toby was the sweetest companion. He loved belly rubs, snoring all hours of the day, and nudging your leg at the dinner table for treats. It was only 3 weeks ago when Toby was at a routine vaccination appointment, that our vet discovered a mass in his chest and a much larger mass in his abdomen. It was the most devastating news and caught us completely off guard. It all happened so fast, but yesterday we made the difficult decision to say goodbye to our boy. He was surrounded by friends and family at our home. We are comforted in knowing that his last moments were peaceful and pain-free. I know he was comfortable at the end, because I finally heard his familiar snore for the first time in several weeks. Toby is the first pet our family has ever lost, so the hurt is deep. But we have tons of great memories to hold onto, and I know we gave Toby the best life he could have hoped for in the nearly 3 years we had him.
Toby has been ADOPTED!!! Toby was with us for just 2 weeks and brought so much joy in such a short time. He is so chill and just wants his people. He was so excited to meet his new family, he wore himself out, wiggling all over the place. Toby will have a new home in Katy, Texas, with a brother and sisters and a fur brother, Linus. Happy tails, Toby Man! We will miss you.
Please welcome 5 year old Toby to Rescue. He is an owner surrender from a family who had a change in their living arrangements. Toby loves kids, cats, and all people. He is housetrained and knows several basic commands. He is just a wonderful bully.
