With great sorrow we announce that Winchester has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. From his dad: Yesterday was not a good day. Two and a half years ago I adopted my first English Bulldog, Winchester. He opened up a whole new world to me of rescue. It has since become a great passion. Because of what he taught me I have been involved in saving hundreds of dogs. Yesterday morning, while in the back yard with my other dogs, he suffered a heart attack and died within minutes in my arms. We had long feared this because his mother and at least one sister died young of heart failure. Someone commented that he was my soulmate, and if you knew him you knew how inseparable we were. I so appreciate the outpouring of love and support from so many. He will be greatly missed, but his influence will continue in every dog and family I help. I sure hope the Rainbow Bridge is real!
