Brutus update:

Brutus is doing very well. When he came to us he weighed 24 pounds, now he weighs 56 pounds!! Brutus is a very, very sweet senior guy that is hoping that someone can see what he has to offer. He may not have lots of years left but he will bring joy to your heart for the time that he has. Please consider giving Brutus the love that he so richly deserves during this Christmas season.

Brutus came to rescue from a Good Samaritan. He was picked up from by a rural animal control officer emaciated, tick and flea infested, infected eye and foot. Fortunately for him his guardian angel also worked there and she volunteered to adopt him. Brutus went home with her and for the next month she worked hard to get his infections under control and put some weight on him. The infections proved to be fixable but even after repeated visits to the vet she couldn’t get any weight on Brutus. She made the call to rescue to see if we would take him because she knew she had done her best but he needed more. Brutus was picked up and driven to one of our rescue vets who quickly diagnosed his problem and got him going on the right track. The vet thinks that he is approximately 6 to 7 years old.

Since Brutus has come into rescue he has gained 17 pounds!! An amazing amount in the short time we have had him. Now that he is feeling better he has become very playful and is having a wonderful time playing with his foster mom’s dogs. Brutus is a sweet, loving soul who just needs a family to spoil him, something he has never had. He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and on a heartworm preventative. Sweet Brutus’ adoption fee is $400
