Chris P. Bacon

Chris P. Bacon

Today was an amazing day for me. Today, I, Chris P. Bacon, left rescue and moved to the beach!

Yes, that’s right ~ I packed my backpack, got myself a new Speedo and headed to the beach, where I can soak up the sun and the sand! My new mom, Kenna, and my new dad, Dave, were so excited to welcome me into their home. Kenna and Dave have adopted several Bulldogs from Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue.

Before today, Kenna called my foster mom every night to see how I was doing. I gave Kenna a list of everything I love to eat because I am trying to gain weight. She filled that list and added even more. I’ll send you photos from the beach from time-to-time to let everyone know how I am doing.

To my rescue friends: thank you for picking me up from the shelter and finding the perfect family for me!

All I can say is “Thank You” to the family that didn’t want me anymore and dropped me off at the shelter.

As you can see, I am really hungry. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t looking for food. Why no one wanted me to have enough to eat still puzzles me. Being hungry is an awful feeling.

I thought shelter life was much better, but then I was REALLY happy when the shelter folks reached out to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue to see if I could join them. Rescue is the place for me! Great food, treats, new beds and some bones are just what I had in mind.

I am only about 3 years old. I still have a lot of living left to do and a lot of places I want to visit. Now, I am going to do it all! I am going to have regular baths, so my orange fur will become white again. I am going to get a new harness and leash picked out just for me.

I even changed my name to Chris P. Bacon because I have always wanted to taste bacon… and now’s my chance! Chris P. Bacon’s new life begins today and so does my new weight-gain plan.
