Please keep Georgia’s furever momma in your thoughts as she recently lost her sweet girl.
She writes: My Georgia left our world today. She had cancer that had spread to her lungs. She was suffering. I loved her so, and I will miss her forever.
I am so lucky to have had her in my life. I cherish our story and the chance beginning that brought our lives together.
Georgia was in the very first group of three Bulldog patients from our rescue to go to Dr. Larsen’s Bright Star Veterinary Clinic. An adopter had met Georgia at the clinic and planned to get her in a few days. I was to have Georgia for a short time. But, the adoption fell through, and I had fallen in love with her. I knew I couldn’t let her go.
She was a genteel lady in every way. She was well-mannered, had a great temperament and was welcoming to all humans and fur babies.
We did home visits and events for rescue, shopping at pet stores, car rides and walks and I was always proud of her.
She was very careful where she walked in order to avoid getting wet or muddy feet. A clean blanket on her bed was expected each night. She got everything she wanted.
One of my favorite things about Georgia is that she had to be by the piano when my grandson came over to practice. I put a bed for her to lay right by the piano. She enjoyed her last concert yesterday.

Do you have Georgia on your mind? Georgia, 7 years old, was surrendered to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue today. Georgia’s former parents had taken new jobs that require more traveling and too much solo time for Georgia. And because she’s a social butterfly, that wasn’t her idea of fun. Georgia loves all animals, kids and other dogs. Georgia is precious, loves walks, and loves attention most of all. She’ll be going to the vet for a full evaluation, as well as to address her eye issues. Stay tuned for more details about her!
3/18/17 Update: Vet update on foster girl Georgia: Georgia is now uterus-free and umbilical hernia-free. We pulled rotted teeth and removed gingival growth. She does have gum recession on both canines due to the other tooth that was wedged against it. Please keep Georgia in your thoughts as she heals!
4/12/17 Update: There’s a sweet southern lady in the house. Miss Georgia with her impeccable manners wouldn’t think of getting on the furniture, going potty in the house, or arguing with her fur sisters. She gives love and affection to all while her crooked little tail never stops wagging. Squirrel watching and bone chewing are two of her favorites. I think she is perfect.
