Herkooles

Herkooles

That’s right ~ I have my very own family now. And this is my forever family. A family that chose me.
Nora is actually the 6th family that I have had in my two years. I have been passed around, given away, moved from here to there … until I finally found rescue.
I had multiple problems. The worst was my breathing. I gasped for air all the time. So, I had palate surgery. Next was my eyes. My eyelashes curled in, so I had them fixed. All the wrinkles on my face did not help either, so I had a little nip-tuck here and there. My skin was a mess so medicated baths were in order. And then I was neutered.
For several months, I visited with Dr. Larsen showing her all my progress. She was so happy. I became her very favorite patient.
The day finally came when all my medical care was finished and I was ready to be adopted. And the best thing ever happened to me! My best friend Nora wanted to adopt me. She told me she loved me and I could stay forever.
So here I am with my mom and me on adoption day. I will always love rescue because they found me and took care of me… and helped make me a better, healthier guy.

My name is Herkooles, like the strong guy, only I am a lot funnier. I am two and a half years old and joined rescue today after quite an adventure.

My sister and I were rescued out of a bad situation. My sister went with one family and I went with another. Things didn’t work out with my new family so I went to live with my sister. But they decided there were too many dogs there already. There was this huge one, a Great Dane, who was always in the way and stepping over me. So today I packed my bags and joined rescue. They will find me my very own special home—a home just made for me.

You can see I have that rugged Bulldog look about me. Some people think I have too many wrinkles, but I think they are just right. I met Dr. Larsen and her staff today. They loved my squishy face! I need to be neutered, but that’s alright. Then I will be looking to be matched to a forever family that is as perfect as I am. They better like to have fun!
