Jade

Jade

Jade’s dream of finding her furever family has come true! We got up extra early, packed her things and she did not look back! Jade is now part of a wonderful family that will love and help her continue to become the perfect Bulldog she was destined to be! Jade now has her very own mom, dad, skin sister and fur brother who will all cherish her as I did. I spent a lot of blood, sweat and tears on this girl and she taught me quite a bit. She definitely left her mark on my heart and I will truly miss her!

Hello bulldog friends it’s me Jade joining rescue today. And, if I may say so, I am just a beautiful as the precious stone, Jade.  I bet you’re wondering how a Bulldog baby (well I am 13 months old) found her way to rescue.  Well I wanted to join rescue. I heard that there were great things happening.

There were lots of toys and treats, and lots of other Bulldogs to play with. I am all about those things! I love toys,  treats, other dogs and I love attention. And oh, did I tell you I love to chew? Yes, I do chew.  Now don’t let that scare you because all I need to be happy and out of your stuff and into my stuff is some Bulldog approved chew toys.  I have been known to have a leather fetish too, but with the proper treats I think I can become a model citizen in no time at all.

So, the best kind of family for me would be a family with toys, treats, gives a lot of attention, active, energetic and one that appreciate a beautiful Bulldog named Jade.  But, just warning you, if you love leather, I do too.  So all leather needs to be up high because just the smell of real leather sends me spinning in a circle. Maybe I should just change my name to Prada.  I am off to the clinic to have some minor things done, then off to a foster, then off to my forever home.

9/30/18 Update:  I am a tiny, 1-year- old who just arrived at my foster home a few days ago! My foster dad says I’m the tiniest and cutest Bulldog he’s ever seen. When I met my big foster brother Gus, I got so excited to have a playmate that I jumped on his head. I just can’t contain my excitement. I’m like a ping pong ball, bouncing with joy all over the house.

I immediately fell in love with my new foster parents and human kids. I want to be next to them at all times. Just like puppies do, I love to crash once I use up all of my energy and my favorite place to crash is cuddled up to foster mom or dad. I still, very much, have puppy behavior. I chew constantly and am not house trained yet. We are working hard on those behaviors. However, I love my crate and sleep very well in there at night.

I am such a love bug and am happy 100% of the time. I love other dogs and kids and just want to play all day!

11/15/18 Update:  I checked out of a very nice doggy hotel this past Sunday and checked into Mays Manor! I am so excited to have my very own foster family, it’s hard for me to contain it. There is another puppy here that loves to play as much as me! And trust me when I say I like to play. There are also a couple older ladies that are a bit cranky. I learned real quick not to bother them.

Just to let you know, I don’t have many manners, but Foster Mom is helping with that. She said that I’m a smart young lady and that I’m doing a great job. She says that in no time, I’ll be ready for my furever family. As you can see, I’m having a tiny issue with a cherry eye, but other than that, I’m in great shape and will get that fixed soon. When the time comes, I would love to find an active family. I love, love, love to run, run, run! Foster Mom is helping me learn to walk, which is second best to running. In the meantime, I’ll be working on my manners so put in those applications. Maybe you’ll get matched to me.

11/27/18 Update:  Hello all you potential parents. It’s me Jade. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know I did. Foster mom was off work and we had a whole four days with her. I didn’t like her going back to work but I suppose she had to. As you can see in my pictures I have learned to sit! She is so happy with me and I get treats for it. I also go straight into my kennel when she has the food bowl in her hand. Unfortunately she makes me sit still before she gives it to me. It’s really, really hard to do but I like food so it’s a fare trade. I’m also getting better at jumping on her. I get a treat for keeping all paws on the ground. With all these treats flying around I don’t mind learning to be civil. Since I’m doing such a great job at learning, foster mom has started rewarding me with free time outside my kennel while she is away. I so like to run with most of my foster siblings, although I have this one that I absolutely do not like. I think it’s because she is cranky and she doesn’t like to play with me. Foster mom has introduced me to some strangers with fur and I have done great. I suppose as long as they are nice to me I’ll be nice back. I hope you guys are filling out those applications because I am working super hard at getting ready for you!

On a side note…. I really am working hard on these manners but just so you know I am a puppy with a lot of energy, once the zoomies are out, I calm down quite nicely!

12/12/18 Update:  Foster mom says one more day and the cone can come off! I am doing everything in my power to get this thing off earlier, but I’m having no luck. As you can see, my eye surgery went well and is looking great. Thank you, Dr. Larsen, for fixing my cherry eye.

12/24/18 Update:  One more sleep and Santa Paws will be visiting! I’m so excited! 🎅

I went to my first Christmas party with my foster mom’s family. They loved me. They said I was just absolutely adorable. I was a hit! I had so much fun, I slept all the way home. Merry Christmas, everyone! 🎄 P.S. I also want to thank everyone for my Christmas presents foster mom brought to me last week. THANK YOU!

1/7/19 Update:  I hope everyone enjoyed their beautiful Sunday! Foster mom took me on a walk. It was an absolute gorgeous day, just like me. I hope my furever people like walks because I’m mastering this leash like a pro! Just so you know: I love to be with my foster mom. I don’t particularly like to share with the other foster siblings (the girls), but I love her and all people, Oh and my foster brother, Dobby. I like to be as close to my foster momma as I can. I hope my furever family likes a shadow because I’m really good at it. Until then, I’ll continue working on being beautifully perfect

1/29/19 Update:  I had a great day at Puckett’s Nursery getting my Valentine’s Day pictures done. Foster Mom says I look stunning. I love all people; unfortunately, not all things with fur. I’m an active Bulldog with a lot of energy, so I would love to find a family that will take me on walks. There is love in the air, so maybe I will find my own furever family.

2/15/19 Update:  Foster mom thinks the big bed is her bed, but it’s mine if I claim it first. I will however sleep in the kennel or a bed laying around the house, but if the gates are down, I will warm your bedside in a heartbeat. Foster mom says I am quite the affectionate little gal. I love to please so with a little patience and treats, I can accomplish almost anything. Also, know that my zoomies are like no other little Bulldog zoomies that include at least a 4′ vertical. Don’t let that scare you! My zoomies don’t last long and foster mom is still helping me learn that zoomies are just as fun with all paws on the ground! I am still very selective about which four-leggers I want to share a household with, but I love all people, hands down. I hope everyone has a fabulous Valentine’s Day and thank you so much for my Benebone!

4/12/19 Update:  Can you say cuteness overload? Foster Mom says I’m a bit like a kid with ADD. I’m not sure what that means, but all I have to do is give her this look and she forgets, gives me a hug and says she loves me (sometimes while shaking her head)! She believes that all I need is an active family that will help me expend some of my extra energy constructively and help me stay focused on proper puppy manners. If you fail on your part, unfortunately, I may fail on my part. Just note that I respond very well with structure and treats….. A lot of treats! This perfect family will need to let me be the only female and understand that being approached by dominate females in public freaks me out a bit, but Foster Mom says I am totally worth it.

4/22/19 Update:  I wanted to let everyone know that my meet-and-greet did not go so well, but this will not get me down! I was on my best behavior and showed everyone just how sweet and well-behaved I can be. There was just something about me that the family’s fur kid did not like. Despite my best efforts to make friends, he just would not have it. His loss. But like I said, this will not get me down. Foster Mom was so impressed with me that she said she knows I am truly ready to find my furever family!

So if you are active and ready for an energetic and loveable girl, put in that application and maybe you’ll be matched to me.
