Lainie (now Dolly)

Lainie (now Dolly)

Lainie is in her forever home! Lainie, now known as Dolly, has hit the jackpot with the most loving family she truly deserves. Dolly has a fur sister, Abby, also adopted from Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue. Because Dolly loves all things with fur, she and Abby will get along just fine. Abby also has Josh, her very special skin brother, who could not wait to meet his new fur friend.

Loving a foster dog and then giving them up is difficult, but so rewarding when a foster dog finds the perfect forever home. Thank you, Diane and Joel, for making a home for Dolly. Those big loving and trusting brown eyes will melt your heart.

All my friends call me Dainty Lainie because, well, I am sort of small. But, being small is a good thing because it’s very easy to carry me around, instead of making me walk, and I am all about being carried! 😃

I had a dad, but he lost his job and felt like he was not able to provide for me anymore. I understood that and I was OK with packing my backpack to head out for a life of luxury.

I checked in at Dr. Larsen’s this morning. She and I sat and talked, and I told her that I love other dogs. I also said I love a little cheese on top of my dog food and I love treats. But most of all? I loved having someone to love me. Dr. Larsen assured me that, in no time at all, all of my needs would be met.

The ladies at the vet’s office think I’m about 2 years old. I agree with that because all I really want to do is play and play and play.

8/26/19 Update:  Lainie has been in her foster home for only a few days, but she is beginning to understand she is now safe and loved. Lainie is cowering down less and less when approached. She knows she will be petted and loved by humans.

Lainie loves everyone, skin and fur. She especially loves food, as she has missed some meals in her past life. She is fed separatey from the other fur kids because she wants to empty all the bowls, not just hers. Lainie is a petite 40 pounds and needs to gain a few pounds so many treats are in order. Lainie is working on her outside potty skills. She has been left outside so much in her past life, she is fearful she will be left out again. Lainie has a couple of baths a week and her coat is now shining. She loves a bit of time in the sun with her fur siblings. At only 2 1/2 years old, she is quite playful and is working on her manners.
