Penny Lou

Penny Lou has found her forever family! So much excitement, so much to explore, so much love to share. Her new big Bulldog brother let her check out his toys, bed and bowls, and enjoyed following her around the new digs. She didn’t even stop to say goodbye to her foster mom😕. Sweet Penny Lou will live the good life with her lovely forever family.

At age 3 1/2, this pint-sized perfection never thought she’d need another family, but due to a lot of sneezing, itchy eyes and runny noses, Penny Lou thought it would be best if she found herself another family that was not so allergic to her. Penny Lou did all the right things, took frequent baths, took medicine for the scratching, had regular trips to the spa and visited the vet when needed. Still, her family members thought she was the problem. Penny Lou was not so sure, but just to be on the safe side, she packed her things, her dog food and her crate, and she headed out the door to find a family that will appreciate all 50 lbs of her. After all, all she really wanted to do was sit in someone’s lap.

7/10/19 Update:  Pretty little Miss Penny Lou (left) has been at my house for about 10 days. She is a sweet, gentle girl who has adjusted quickly to her new dog family. My Peanut is her favorite. Their size and coloring are so similar that they could be sisters from another mother. Penny prefers snuggling with Peanut in her bed to sleeping in her own. This young, energetic, healthy girl keeps busy exploring the toys, checking on all of the activities in the house and shadowing me. If she sees a leash she is ready to go. Loves the early morning walks. Potty training and learning the word “no” are still issues. By sitting outside with her and by her watching my girls, she is learning where to potty. She is a picky eater and didn’t know a treat. She wouldn’t take anything from my hand and she watched in amazement when my dogs ate everything I handed them. Now she participates in the treat handouts. I love watching her try new things and blossom into the happy, free girl she was meant to be.
