I am what some people call a “high maintenance” gal. Puhhhleeze… Aren’t we all?
I have some of the usual skin issues and have always dealt with skin and yeast infections. I found out I am allergic to chicken and I am now doing much better on Fresh Pet beef.
My beautiful face folds are a breeding ground for infection, too. I also have some serious breathing issues and cannot get overheated. And I need surgery on my eyes. I think the vet called it entropion. My eyelashes scratched my eyeball and now I have an ulcer. I get it ~ I am high maintenance. But I’m worth it.
So, why did I join rescue? My dad died of a sudden brain aneurysm earlier this year. Then my mom lost her job for a while because of COVID-19 and she couldn’t afford my high maintenance much longer. She cried a lot, and thought a lot, and then contacted rescue. She cried a lot again today when I left, but I told her it was alright. I knew she was doing what is best for me.
I soon will be off to the vet clinic to meet this Dr. Larsen everyone talks about. I am told she will fix everything that is wrong and I will not be high maintenance anymore. I always will be a special gal who loves the finer things in life—especially laps!
