Tank

Tank

My name is Tank. There’s not a lot I care to share about my life before I
came into Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue. The folks here at Lone Star got me
from a shelter and that was after I had been adopted out to a family and
returned because I was ‘aggressive’. I got to brag a moment cause if the
good folks here had not believed in me and given me a chance this guy would
be, well, I don’t want to talk about that cause I’m here getting a chance at
a great life. I have quite a few health issues that need fixing up and when
I’m done with all the vet visits I’ll be ready for my furever home! That
sounds like a slice of heaven to this guy. My foster mom says she believes
that a man abused me because when I first came into rescue I didn’t care too
much for my foster dad. I wouldn’t do anything he told me to do. I
basically ignored him. I guess I’m starting to think he is an alright guy
because I am starting to listen to him. I LOVE my foster mom though, and I
love it best when she sits and looks into my eyes and scratches my ears and
tells me how handsome and how sweet I am! I would do anything for my foster
mom! Now, I’m still a bulldog, so I’m not going to jump right up and do
what she tells me to do when she wants me to do it. I have several other
bulldogs in the house with me and I get along with all of them, even the
little French ones who are always getting in my face. I’m not into starting
any fights with any of the other bullies, but if I’m challenged I take care
of myself.  I’m a mellow guy who likes long naps and ear scratches. I don’t mind laying on a nice bed on the floor but if you let me I would snuggle next to you on
the couch. I am a good guard dog for a bully, at least that’s what my foster mom says. She tells me I have a great, deep bark that would scare folks away. I’m a
curious sort and like to be in the middle of whatever is going on.
I’ll be ready for my “furever” family in about a month. I’m learning that not
everybody is bad and I’m trusting people more and more every day. I even
have a great little ‘leap of joy’ that makes my foster mom laugh every
time!! If you have a place in your heart and home for this guy I’ll be your
best bully man “furever”!
