Teddy

Teddy

Hi, All!  I’m Teddy.  I’m a little confused as to what is going on as one day I was in a good home and the next day I’m with strangers, and I don’t know why I’m not in my home anymore.  I’m adjusting to my new life, though.  I follow my foster mom everywhere, and I do mean EVERYWHERE!  I do leave her side occasionally to go make sure my bed is still in the same place.  I’m just feeling a little lost with the sudden changes.  I am getting lots and lots of love, and I have other bullies to play with so I’m not lonely at all.  I get along great with the other bullies, and there is a small dog who lives in this new place and I don’t bother her at all.  I do play with the other boy bully a little rough at times and we get told to ‘simmer down’.  My foster mom is still trying to get me to eat more food, but I’m still missing my other family so I’m not eating as much as a bully normally does.  My foster mom knows bullies can be sensitive to change that way so she isn’t worried about that, yet.  I went to see the rescue vet yesterday and he said I look GREAT!  I got caught up on all my shots, I’m neutered and heart worm negative and on a preventative, but I do have some standard bully issues.  My ears are yuck and I have a little skin infection where I have a big fold in the skin on my face and the tissue stays moist. My foster family is treating my ears and face with medications daily and I don’t like it, but I’m pretty good about letting them take care of me.  So, if you know how to care for those minor issues I am ready to live with a family that can love me FUREVER.  I don’t want to have to ever move again.  It is too upsetting for a bully to be uprooted, and I don’t even know why I wasn’t wanted anymore.  I have had some fun with my foster family.  I got to go to a birthday party and have cake and ice cream, but I didn’t care for the party hat.  They have a big area that is fenced in so all of the bullies get to be outside without our leashes, but that foster mom or dad is always watching us so we don’t get to get in any trouble!  My foster mom sits with me and loves, and I just lay my head on her shoulder and soak up that loving.  The folks at Lone Star named me Teddy, because I am like a wonderful Teddy bear!  I weigh 64 pounds and I would love to be a lap dog if you let me.  I will lay on your couch and in your bed with you.  I give great kisses and I snuggle up close.  I walk on a leash pretty good, I can sleep in a kennel, too.  I do like to wander around when I’m outside, but I do come when I am called.  The folks at Lone Star think I’m about 3-4 years old.  I have energy to play, but I don’t have hyper, puppy energy.  I did have one incidence of being a little food aggressive when I was fed with all of the other bullies so I need to go to a home without young kids, but also because I am so big and I do still get excited I may run over a toddler and not mean to.  My foster family is great, but I am ready for a home where I can be loved and cared for and never have to leave my people ever again.  This bully heart is full of love and I have lots of bully kisses ALL for my “furever” family!! My adoption fee is $550.   Sincerely, Teddy
