9/14/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Brody Brandyn to our rescue family!
Six-year-old Brody Brandyn tips the scales at 76 pounds and he is simply irresistible. He may be about as wide as he is tall, but around here, round is a shape, and Brody Brandyn is very happy to embrace it! Besides, there is no fat-shaming for the newbies in rescue. We love our Bulldogs in every shape and size.
Getting Brody Brandyn into the rescue wagon today took a little teamwork. He put his front feet up and happily accepted a helping hand from his new friends, Brandyn and Ursula. Once he was settled in, he was ready for the long ride to his new beginning.
And, naturally, every long road trip requires a snack. Brody Brandyn was offered his choice of a donut or a kolache, and this big boy surprised us by making the healthier choice. 😂 A kolache it was!
It was a difficult and emotional goodbye for Brody Brandyn and his family. His surrender was heartbreaking, but it was also the right decision. Both of his parents are facing significant health issues and could no longer give Brody Brandyn the time, energy and care he deserves. Sometimes loving a dog means making the incredibly hard decision to let someone else step in and give them what you can no longer provide.
Brody Brandyn previously lived with a very small dog, and the two were best friends. Because of that, we think Brody Brandyn would love a home with another dog to pal around with and keep him company.
Brody Brandyn needs to have his cherry eyes repaired and get caught up on his vaccinations. He arrived with some of his favorite belongings, including his bed and his winter clothes. Yes, this handsome boy likes to stay warm and cozy when the temperatures drop!
Now Brody Brandyn is hoping his stay in rescue is a short one. He knows the younger Bulldogs often get all the attention, but Brody Brandyn has something they can’t always offer: six years of life experience, a big heart and a whole lot of love to give.
Because the truth is, to meet Brody Brandyn is to love Brody Brandyn.
Brody Brandyn isn’t asking for someone to overlook his age or his size. He’s hoping someone will take the time to look past those things and discover the wonderful Bulldog underneath.
If you were to meet Brody Brandyn, we have a feeling you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him.
RESCUE NEEDS FOSTERS! ❤️
Behind every successful rescue story is someone who was willing to open their home and give a Bulldog a safe place to land. Fosters are the bridge between a Bulldog’s old life and the next home they deserve.
Our rescue is always looking for loving foster families willing to welcome a Bulldog into their home, help them adjust, learn their personality and give them the love and care they need while we search for their next family.
Fosters must live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to be close to our partner vets and public events.
You don’t have to know everything about Bulldogs. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to open your home and your heart.
If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this could be your chance to change a Bulldog’s life. We promise, they’ll change yours right back. Message us to learn more.
11/4/26 UPDATE ~ We’re looking to match Brody Brandyn to a great family! He writes: I thought it was time to check in and let you all know what I’ve been up to since arriving at my foster home a few weeks ago!
First things first, I’ve had my eyes done (gotta keep looking handsome!), and I’m currently working on my figure. Although, I personally think I’ve already perfected the whole chubby look. It’s called being large and in charge, people!
My foster mom just doesn’t understand how I can be such a big boy when I don’t always finish all my meals. Now, treats? Well, that’s a completely different story. I NEVER turn down treats! 😂
My personality is really starting to shine, too! I LOVE playing with all the fun toys around here. My absolute favorite is my rubber chicken. I mean, what’s not to love about a toy that squeaks?
Apparently, my foster family’s granddaughter doesn’t share my enthusiasm, especially when I decide to serenade everyone with my chicken at 5:30 in the morning. I just don’t understand. I’m providing free entertainment, and nobody appreciates my talents!
I love bouncing around, playing with my toys and enjoying all the good things life has to offer. Life at the Miller Manor is pretty wonderful, and I’m having a great time!
BUT… there’s one thing missing. MY ADOPTIVE FAMILY! ❤️
So, if you’ve been looking for a big boy with an even bigger personality, a playful spirit and plenty of love to give, then LOOK NO FURTHER. I’m your guy!
I promise to bring the fun, the laughs and lots of love to your home. Just be prepared for the occasional 5:30 AM rubber chicken concert.
Love and sloppy kisses,
Your Future Best Friend
