4/16/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Caramilk to our rescue family.
When a local animal services team received a call about a Bulldog abandoned in an apartment building, they didn’t hesitate ~ they responded immediately. Calls like these can go many different ways, and there’s always a sense of uncertainty walking into the unknown.
What they found, though, was something unexpected: a happy, resilient girl who, despite everything, still greeted them with a wag and a wiggle.
We’re told Caramilk had been left behind for three days without food or water after her family was evicted. While we may never understand how anyone could make that choice, it’s clear that at some point in her life, she was cared for and loved. Her previous owners are currently under investigation, and we remain hopeful for accountability.
Through it all, Caramilk’s spirit has not dimmed. She is full of joy and her signature wiggle is guaranteed to make you smile.
You may notice that Caramilk is a little on the “extra” side. We prefer to call her perfectly plush. We’ll be helping her get to a healthier weight so she can feel her absolute best.
She has likely had a litter or two in the past, but those days are behind her. She will soon be spayed and aside from needing some dental care, she appears to be in good overall health.
At around 4 years old and 59 pounds, Caramilk is ready for a fresh start… a second chance filled with love, stability and a family who will never leave her behind again.
