10/25/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Chloe Angel to our rescue family.
She shares: I may not understand everything that has happened to me, but my story matters. And I hope sharing it reminds others why rescue matters, too.
In my short life, I’ve already had three families, each touched by active addiction. When addiction takes control, it can affect not only the person struggling, but everyone around them, including animals like me.
My first family was homeless, and we wandered from place to place searching for food and somewhere safe to sleep. Addiction made accepting help difficult, so we kept moving.
One day, we stopped at the home of someone else struggling with addiction. When morning came, my family was gone. I had been left behind.
For a while, I finally knew what it felt like to have a home. That life had its challenges, but it also gave me Diesel, a Bully who became the best fur brother I could have asked for. He was gentle and kind. We slept side by side, I had food every day, and through all the uncertainty, Diesel was always there.
Then I became pregnant, and my world became frightening again. A few days later, another person struggling with addiction arrived with a hammer and threatened to kill me so I could not have my puppies. It was a terrifying reminder of how deeply addiction can distort choices and place innocent lives in danger.
By the grace of God, a family member discovered what was happening and reached out to a rescue. Because someone chose to speak up, I was given another chance.
So here I am… safe in rescue, pregnant and stepping into an uncertain future. I don’t know what comes next, but for the first time in a long while, my story is no longer only about what I survived. It is also about hope, compassion and the people willing to give a life like mine a new beginning.
Chloe Angel and her puppies have a long road ahead, and your support can help give them the care and safe start they deserve.
