9/4/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Dandelion Dandy to our rescue family.
When Dandelion Dandy arrived at a local shelter, her owners never came for her. But we couldn’t let this sweet girl face her future alone. Now, she’s part of our family and we’re determined to give her the fresh start she deserves.
At an estimated 8 years old and 46 pounds, Dandelion Dandy has clearly been through a lot. Her eyes, ears and skin need attention, and her nails have been allowed to grow so long that they’re curling. There may be other health issues we can’t see yet, but a thorough veterinary exam will help us understand exactly what she needs.
For Dandelion Dandy, this is the beginning of a new chapter. We will do all we can to help her heal, feel comfortable and know what it means to be loved.
Please support her journey back to health by becoming a North Texas Giving Day donor. Your generosity provides dogs like Dandelion Dandy with the veterinary care, compassion, and fresh start they so desperately need.
Please give today for Dandelion Dandy, and for the many dogs still waiting for their second chance: northtexasgivingday.org/organization/lone-star-bulldog-club-rescue Even a small amount can make a big difference. ♥
9/5/26 UPDATE ~ Dandelion Dandy is a sweet girl who has had a hard beginning, and right now, the world is still a little scary to her.
She likely spent much of her life being bred. She never got the chance to learn what it feels like to simply be a beloved family dog.
Dandelion Dandy is understandably timid, but underneath that uncertainty is a gentle girl who will slowly discover that people can be kind, hands can be gentle and life can be about so much more than having babies.
For the first time, Dandelion Dandy gets to be just Dandy. No more being asked to give and give. Now it’s her turn to be loved, spoiled, comforted and shown how wonderful life can be. 💛
We know she won’t transform overnight, but with patience, love and a safe place to call home, we believe this little flower will bloom.
Welcome to rescue, sweet Dandelion Dandy. 🌼Your new life starts now.
To help her on her journey to health, please become a North Texas Giving Day supporter to help us reach our fundraising goal. 11/3/26 UPDATE ~ We’re looking to find a great family for Dandelion Dandy!
From her foster momma: Dandelion Dandy is your typical neglected mill mama who is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She is frightened by just about everything, from going outside to loud noises and sudden movements. The vacuum, however, is where she draws the line! While most things send her cowering to the ground, she has decided that the vacuum must be defeated.
More than anything, Dandelion Dandy just wants to be loved. She will gently paw at your leg while crouching low, almost as if she’s asking for affection but afraid you’ll scold her instead. It absolutely breaks your heart. All she wants is reassurance that she’s safe and that someone loves her. Once you give her that love, she’ll happily sit and snuggle with you for as long as you’ll let her. She absolutely adores affection!
House training will take some time, patience and understanding. Being outside is still very scary for her, and it’s something she’ll need help building confidence with. Thankfully, she’s been following the puppies in and out, so I think having them around will help her tremendously as she learns the ropes.
Dandelion Dandy isn’t much of a fan of typical puppy antics. She prefers the company of dogs who are happy to coexist and mind their own business. She’s gotten a little cross with Chewbarka a few times when he’s tried to initiate play, but honestly, she’s just not interested in all that puppy nonsense!
Dandelion Dandy needs a patient, gentle home that understands she may need a little extra time to blossom. She isn’t looking for adventure or excitement. She just wants a safe place, a soft spot to snuggle, a kind voice and someone who will show her that she never has to be afraid of being loved again.
