8/20/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Ellie Mae Wigglebottom to our rescue family!
At almost 9 years young, Ellie Mae Wigglebottom is a sweet senior lady who already knows what it means to be loved. Two years ago, her family rescued her, hoping to give Ellie Mae Wigglebottom the wonderful life she deserved.
But life has a way of changing when we least expect it.
With her family traveling frequently and spending so much time away from home, they came to the difficult realization that they could no longer give Ellie Mae Wigglebottom the time, attention and companionship she needs. It wasn’t an easy decision. But sometimes, loving a dog means being willing to admit when you can no longer give them the life they deserve.
So Ellie Mae Wigglebottom has joined Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue, and we are determined to make sure this next chapter is everything she deserves… love, stability, companionship and, of course, plenty of comfortable couch time.
Ellie Mae Wigglebottom is a sweet senior lady with a gentle heart, a loyal nature, and so much love still left to give. She deserves a family who understands just how special an older Bulldog can be and who will cherish the years ahead rather than focus on the years behind her.
Because senior Bulldogs have a lot to offer. They know how to love deeply, appreciate the simple things and make themselves right at home beside the people they love.
Welcome to rescue, Ellie Mae Wigglebottom. Your first chapter may have brought you here, but we’re going to make sure your next chapter is your best one yet. ❤️
Could you be a Bulldog’s next chapter?
Ellie Mae Wigglebottom’s story is possible because someone opened their home and said yes to rescue.
We need more foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Our foster families are the bridge between a Bulldog’s past and the new life waiting for them. They provide a safe place to land, plenty of love and the opportunity for each Bulldog to heal, decompress and prepare for adoption.
And here’s the beautiful part: fostering is life-changing. Not just for the Bulldog, but for the foster family, too. There is something incredibly rewarding about watching a dog who may arrive confused, scared or uncertain begin to blossom because someone gave them a chance.
Our approved adopters can be located throughout the country, but our foster families need to live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
If you have room in your home and heart for a Bulldog, please consider fostering.
Make a difference in the life of a Bulldog. Open your home. Change a life. Become a foster family. Message us today.

And yet, there’s one thing we can’t stop thinking about…
Ellie Mae Wigglebottom will turn 9 in November.
We would love nothing more than to see this beautiful senior girl celebrate her birthday in a home of her very own. Not in rescue. Not waiting for someone to notice her. But surrounded by the people who have decided that this sweet, wonderful girl is family.
Nine years young, and Ellie Mae Wigglebottom still has so much love to give. In fact, she has an entire heart full of it.
Could you help us find the family who will give Ellie Mae Wigglebottom the birthday gift she deserves most…. a lovng home?
