Gingersnap

Gingersnap

I joined rescue back in April as part of the Freedom Four. Since then, I have been lucky enough to have two foster families who gave me lots of love and everything a little Bulldog like me could need. I am so thankful for my time in rescue, but I still longed for my very own family.

Yesterday, I met the most perfect family. They asked me, if they came back the next day, would I like to join their family. Of course I said YES!

I ran around the house and packed my bags, got some beauty sleep and waited.

Finally, the doorbell rang and my perfect family took me to my new home. I have a new mom and dad who will love and spoil me forever.

Gingersnap here…the 4th gal from ‘The Freedom of Four’ checking in to show off my latest photo shoot. They call me Gingersnap, because I’m a snack-sized, red head, as sweet as molasses! Some of my close friends and family call me GiGi for short….but only during informal occasions.

My two fur sisters have been busy showing me all the tricks of the trade; and I know I will win the heart of my BIG brother, Alvin, soon enough….right now he thinks I’m lookin’ like a snack, but who can blame him, I’m Gingersnap!

Can’t wait to meet everyone, Love, Gingersnap!

4/27/22 Update: Foster mom here, happy to report that Gingersnap has been such a delight. She is brave, smart, sweet, cute, inquisitive, kind and funny.  Each day she works on conquering her fears and exploring more, but for now, prefers to stay in her safe place (our bedroom), in her nook over by me. She appears to be pretty healthy, weighing only approx. 40lbs…all muscle! The wound on her neck ( from the plastic tie) is being treated with chlorhexidine wipes and animax ointment. She enjoys hotdogs, cheese, scrambled eggs, and belly rubs, and lullaby music.  Gigi does still crouch down when approached, but she also shakes her beautiful tail feather like a star!…she has the most beautiful tail, and the most mesmerizing golden eyes. We are happy to help her bulk up a little bit this Spring with a few extra treats.  We are working with big brother Alvin, to help him overcome a little jealousy, but I’m sure he’s just in shock to suddenly have 3 SISTERS… poor fella.
