Heavy D.

Heavy D. is in the house. Yes, today, I joined rescue.

It was a sad day indeed, when I packed my bed, toys, shampoos, food bowls and then headed out the door. It was time and I was ready.

My family will soon be including a baby, and everyone knows babies make me nervous. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s  because I am a small fella and I do get scared. I loved things at the house just as they were. I didn’t expect the changes, but babies make my family happy, so I am happy for them.

I need a surgery to help with that “loving feeling” and after that, I will be looking through the approved applications for an adult family who is kid-free and plan on staying kid-free.

I am 5 years old, never met a stranger and I love other dogs. I’m not sure about cats yet.

4/9/22 Update:  Heavy D checking in,  Foster dad and I were playing hide and go seek.  I need to work on my hiding spots lol.  I am getting better at this game and I am determined to win.  I love the backyard and enjoy my new patio.  I might stroll around instead run.  Takes me a little longer to get places.  I’m on a joint supplement so it should help.  Can’t wait for the cool nights and cuddle up next to the fire pit.

4/14/22 Update:  He lives life at the beat of his own drum. Training his foster mom to feed him where he is lounging only took a week. I can’t even get her to fix me breakfast in bed…  LOL.

This guy has so much swag. He just has to give one glimpse to his foster mom and she knows it’s time for belly rubs. He seems to strut his stuff, even when walking to grab a drink of water.

He’s claimed the spot on the couch closest to the window. It’s a ritual for me to open up the window to air out the house every morning.

He’s looking for a pad he can call his “furever.”
