Ida Rose

Ida Rose

Christmas came early for  pretty little Ida Rose. Today, she joined her perfect furever family. She will be loved and spoiled for the rest of her days. Ida now has two resident fur pups for companions, although they were a bit camera shy today. Best Christmas wishes for your new lives together!

I’m more than special. You see, someone dropped me off at the pound! Can you believe that? After all the puppies I had for them, I get dropped at the pound.

There were some really nice people from a rescue who got me out of that place quick and I really, really want to thank them.

Then, I was off to visit with Dr. Larsen. I told her a couple of jokes and she and I laughed and laughed and laughed.

She is one smart lady. She said that I was pretty (I am!) and that I was sweet (of course I am!) and then she said we’re going to get me all fixed up so I can start my new life. Boy, do I like her. She is a lady with a great plan.

I am going to hang out here for a couple of days to chill and get pampered, then I’ll move on toward my new life. If you want to share all the good times with me, keep checking back. I will be posting more later. I gotta go now and tell some more funny stories. They love them up here!

Unfortunately Ida Rose’s tests came back and she tested positive for Heartworms and will have to undergo special treatment.

8/20/22 Update:  I’m free – my rest after heartworm treatment is finally over! No more confinement for me. Now I can run, play and have fun. I’m healthy and ready for adventures.

This is my first time to live in a home, and boy, is it different from my past life. Life in a home is amazing. I have playmates, toys, a soft bed, treats and more. I’m catching on to the rules and the routine. I aim to please.

I’m ready to meet my forever family. They will see that I’m a cutie and a very sweet, gentle girl.

9/7/22 Update:  I have more to tell about my new life in foster care. My food is the biggest change. When I saw my first breakfast topped with goat’s milk and wild blueberries, I gave Foster Mom a puzzled look. Then I tried it, and I liked it! In fact, I’ve discovered that I like lots of new foods.

When I eat, my tongue gets a little out of control. It’s a bit long, and I’m kind of messy. No problem. I clean up my mess when my bowl is empty.

I like to look my best. That’s hard when your back got shaved in order to be treated for heartworms. I’m so glad that the hair is growing back. Soon I’ll be back to my cute self.

There are lots of toys in my basket to choose from. My favorites are the chew toys. I’m not a fan of playing fetch. My other favorite is wrestling with my new friends.

Got to go now. It’s time to join my buddies doing zoomies around the living room. I’m going to catch up to the resident 3-year-old boy one of these days.

9/26/22 Update:   Ida Rose spread the love and kisses today at our Bulldog Bonanza at the Hollywood Feed in Allen. She found every available lap to visit, and worked the crowd like a pro.

10/13/22 Update:  Little Miss Ida Rose is precious. It is a joy to see how she has acclimated to living in a home. She loves playing with the resident pups, cuddling and she does her business outside. My little shadow never loses track of me.. What else could a family want? She is a beautiful, healthy, happy girl ready for her forever home.
