Gosh… am I glad to be writing this message to all of you!
Yesterday, I didn’t know what the heck was going on, but by nighttime, I ended up at a new house. I was able to walk around in the backyard on the grass for as long as I wanted.
Then I got a bath. I wasn’t at all sure that was a good idea, but I got through it and I am feeling much better now.
I met a couple of new Bulldogs and they were very welcoming. They seem to know that we’ve all been in similar situations.
I am learning the rules of the house and enjoying all of this incredible freedom. My foster mom tells me that I am beautiful and have the softest fur. The best part about my new house is that all of the people like to give me scratches! Can you imagine that? Well, I’m just gonna soak it all in.
I don’t really remember what I was called before. Or if I even had a name. But you can call me Jasmine Laine.
5/5/22 Update: Happy humidity, Bulldog lovers! Whew, it’s getting’ a little steamy out there! I’ve been in my foster home for a little over a week. This house stuff is all new to me and my reaction to almost everything is, “What is that?!?!”
Toys? I am slowing learning to play with a few toys. There’s another dog here who I love, but she keeps trying to get me to play and I have no idea what she’s talking about. When I first got here, I was unsure of walking through doorways and navigating a step or 2. Now I am doing much better with all of those things. I’m also a bit of a scaredy-cat. If it makes a loud noise, is big, or comes at me too fast, I’m gonna get the heck out of there! I’m even afraid of Frosty Paws. Foster mom calls me a silly girl. I love to play outside and be with people and dogs. When I am tired, my favorite place is my kennel.
I hear that I am going to visit Dr. Larsen next week to get a check up and possibly put an end to my baby-making days. Then, watch out, Bulldog lovers, this beautiful lady will be ready to find her furever home!
5/18/22 Update: Good morning! I am back in my foster home after Dr. Larsen made sure there would be no more babies for me. I am learning how to live in a house and not just a crate all the time. I love all people and am gentle with the little ones. I especially like the one who share a cold drink on a hot day. I am also a fan of cleaning baby toes! Really any toes, but the adults don’t seem to appreciate my helpfulnesses as much. I like to hang out with other dogs, but not really a fan of bossy girls. I am super smart and have learned that when I want to go inside I just open the door! I would love to find a home of my own!
