11/5/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Lil’ Pete to our rescue family!
From volunteer Tina: Lil’ Pete was supposed to stay at a friend’s house for just a couple of days. But his family never came back. Then the people caring for him left, too.
He was eventually found in the backyard, starving, scared and alone.
When the shelter reached out to rescue, we knew this boy needed a safe place to heal… from the hunger, the neglect and being left behind.
And somehow, after everything people have put him through, Lil’ Pete still loves them.
He snuggled against me the entire freedom ride, sneaking kisses every so often. All he wanted was to be close, and I was more than happy to hold him.
This sweet boy has survived so much. Now it’s our turn to show him what it feels like to have a full belly, a safe home and people who keep showing up.
Lil’ Pete is going to be the love of someone’s life. No doubt about it.

Want to help us save more Bulldogs? We need more foster parent volunteers! Every dog who comes into our rescue needs a temporary place to land while waiting for their next family. You can be the bridge taking a dog from its past to its future.
While we adopt to approved families throughout the country, our foster volunteers must live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to stay close to our partner vets and events.
Open your heart and home. Message us to learn how to become a foster parent and help us save another life!
