Hi all, my name is Maple and I joined rescue yesterday with the other ladies “formerly known as mill mamas.” I am so glad that my life of having puppies for money is now behind me and I can look forward to relaxing and enjoying my freedom. I love my new name and I think it fits perfectly as my coat is a beautiful “maple colored brindle!”
I checked into the clinic with my friend Aurora as I have very “raspy” breathing. So we should be first in line for the “lap holding!” I am a happy girl and my little tail cannot stop wagging. When I arrived at the clinic, I was a little scared but this nice guy picked me up, gave me a hug and told me everything was going to be fine. He even put a fan on my crate to help me cool down and breathe better.
I can’t wait to run around with my other girlfriends, play and then we can all look for a family of our own.
Keep me in your thoughts…just think of Maple doughnuts, Maple leaves, Maple syrup, Maple trees & OMG don’t forget Maple Bars!
Just like these things…I am unforgettable!
9/14/22 Update: Maple is very congested. We are doing nebulizer treatments to help with breaking up anything in her chest. She has rotted teeth with lots of infection in her mouth. Her lymph nodes are swollen, but that’s most likely due to the infection in her mouth. She has a very dry hair coat and a mild yeast infection in both ears. She’ll be having her spay and hernia repair on Sept. 22, as long as her congestion is better. She has a possible hypoplastic trachea, but we’ll be able to know more once all of the infection has been treated. It’s also obvious that she’s had multiple C-sections.
