2/6/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Mick Jagger to our rescue family! He writes: Bulldog friends, on Wednesday I finally joined rescue. It was a long time coming.
For most of my life, my job on the farm was being a “baby daddy,” a role I took very seriously. But as the years passed and I was no longer needed, my purpose faded.
I was born on February 19, 2018, in London, England, which is how I came to be named Mick Jagger. Somehow, someone decided I should make my way to America, and through twists and turns I eventually ended up here.
I arrived with three generations of pedigree papers, along with records showing that I moved around quite a bit after coming to the U.S., passing through the hands of different breeders. But Wednesday marked the move I’ve been waiting for my entire life: my retirement move.
My skin is in rough shape. I carry colors that aren’t recognized in the Bulldog Standard. There may be some blue, lilac, fawn and black—and those genetics have left me with ongoing skin issues. I’ll need medical care, patience and understanding as I begin to heal.
I hope my age doesn’t stop someone from seeing the dog I still am, especially once my medical needs are addressed. I’ve never known what it’s like to live inside a home, to be part of a real family who loves me simply for being me. I can’t help but imagine how amazing that life could be.
For the first time, my future feels full of possibility. And I’m ready for whatever comes next.

9/20/26 UPDATE ~ We need help finding Mick Jagger a family!
Mick Jagger may be 8½, but this boy clearly didn’t get the memo that he’s supposed to slow down. He still has plenty of pep and is enjoying every minute of his foster life!
Originally from the UK (hence the name). Mick Jagger came to us from a breeder. Since arriving in foster care, his social skills have come a long way, and he gets along just fine with his senior resident Bulldog sibling. He’s also crate trained and about 90% house trained. His foster pops says the occasional accident can happen if he’s left alone for an extended stretch of 8+ hours, but otherwise, he’s doing great.
And when the day winds down, Mick Jagger knows exactly how to relax. He’s a Grade A cuddler, with Saturday nights on the couch watching a movie being a particular favorite.
Mick Jagger isn’t food aggressive, does well with children and shows little interest in the rabbits in the backyard, so his foster family feels he may also do well with cats. He’s an easygoing guy who seems pretty happy to go with the flow.
Mick Jagger does take Apoquel once a day and eats a prescription dry-food diet. He recently received a clean bill of health from the vet, so this handsome British import is ready to keep enjoying the good life, preferably with a family who appreciates a good cuddle session.
