Pablo now knows that good things are worth the wait…. Pablo found his forever family at last! Pablo had an amazing meet-and-greet and then hopped in the truck to head to his new home in San Antonio. He’s been busy playing and snuggling ~ his two favorite things.
Pablo here! I joined rescue on Thursday when the rescue wagon stopped in front of my house!
My 2 brothers took off running so I thought “What the heck, I am going too!” It was a sight to behold. I had never walked on a leash so I thought “Why start today,” so the rescue lady carried me!
Turns out I have a heart murmur and some skin problems that need addressed. I am going sometime in the future for a cardiac consultation so I can find out exactly what I need to do to live a long, healthy life.
After all I am just a big baby and I have a lot of life left to live. My name is Pablo and I am 1 year and 2 months old.
6/13/22 Update: Pablo has been in our home for a week now and he’s all puppy! He’s playful, curious, has wrinkles for days and the cutest underbite you have ever seen.
Pablo isn’t a very big Bulldog, weighing in about 42 pounds. He loves his chews and he thinks the water from the garden hose is the most fun. I’m working on a getting a picture… it’s hilarious.
He’s working on his house manners and is easily redirected. He will potty outside, but also uses the potty pads in the house. We are working to reinforce going potty outside at this time.
This guy’s perfect forever home would be with a family that has time and patience to train him to be the best Bulldog and will give him plenty of time to be active.
6/21/22 Update: Pablo wants you all to know that he loves summer and all things summer. Lounging outside is a favorite for him (of course under strict supervision and not in the heat of the day), playing in the water and late night romps in the yard when Foster Mom gets home.
Pablo has a heart murmur and he will be seeing a cardiologist soon to learn more about it. Lucky for him, his foster mom is a nurse and keeps a close eye on him. She’s happy to report that he hasn’t shown any symptoms and nothing seems to be slowing him down from being a fun, playful puppy.
7/9/22 Update: Pablo had his heart murmur checked out and has great news to share. He was diagnosed with moderate pulmonary stenosis, a congenital heart defect, but requires no medication or treatment at this time. The most important thing for him going forward is to stay trim and not to over exercise. He continues to show no symptoms at this time.
He’s also really getting into a routine now. He’s progressing wonderfully on his house manners and potty training. He will bark when he needs to poop. We are working to keep him from jumping on people. At bedtime, he will curl up on one of the dog beds and pretty much stay all night.
7/29/22 Update: Pablo continues to be a happy go-lucky pup, with lots of energy and lots of cuddles to share. He plays hard and and snuggles hard. He’s not a big guy, only about 40 pounds, so he’s perfect for an active family that’s looking for a young Bulldog. He gets along great with all his foster sisters. He met a few kitties recently and checked them out, but wasn’t too interested. He’s never met a stranger!
8/3/22 Update: Pablo takes his play time serious. He only drops his favorite toy for meal time. Most nights, he even sleeps with it close by. Pablo is looking forward to being matched to his furever family soon!
8/8/22 Update: Pablo loves attention and loves to play. He also loves to snuggle and give kisses. He also thinks Pugs make great pillows.
8/25/22 Update: Pablo checking in from the rains to let everyone know we are safe at our house. Pablo recently decided that Pugs are pretty awesome. He loves to play with them, get the zoomies with them, snuggle with them and he continues to think they make great pillows.
Pablo remains a happy, fun-loving bulldog. He loves his chews, he loves to play hard then snuggle hard. He’s a young Bulldog, and weighs just under 40 pounds. He might be a small guy, but he has a big personality. He’s also getting a head start on tongue-out Tuesday.
8/31/22 Update: Pablo discovered that soccer is pretty fun, especially because he can pick up the ball and take off with it. He was a little impatient when it came to waiting for me to throw it for him.
9/13/22 Update: Pablo wants to let you know this cooler weather is perfect napping weather. And naps are best when shared with friends! Snuggling next to friends, laying on friends…. it’s all the same to Pablo.
Pablo is anxiously awaiting his first meet-and-greet! He wants you all to know that he’s fun, loveable, squishable and just down right easy going.
He realizes some people may be concerned about his congenital heart defect. However, he had that checked out and he requires no medication or intervention at this time.
Also, his foster mom is a nurse, and she’s really great at recognizing a problem. She’s happy to report thar over the past three months, Pablo has been playful, active and has shown no symptoms. Nothing seems to slow this sweet boy down!
9/26/22 Update: Pablo had so much fun meeting all the Bulldogs today and all the people who came out to Hollywood Feed. He wants to thank everyone who came over to meet him, and especially those he got to share hugs and kisses with, his favorite thing to do. He worked so hard meeting and greeting everyone today that he could barely stay awake on the ride home. He definitely deserves his nap! Play hard, sleep hard is his motto!
10/17/22 Update: Pablo says play time is my favorite time! This fall weather is really getting this sweet boy fired up too. Between soaking up the sun, tossing around his favorite toys, and getting the Zoomies with his foster sisters, this precious pup is living his best life.
Pablo continues to work hard on his house manners, loves to give kisses and enjoys snuggle time and scratches behind his ears. If you are looking for a young, energetic, ball of live then Pablo is your guy!
