10/11/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Razzoo to our rescue family!
From volunteer Dianne: When you’re too big to be a French Bulldog and too small to be a Bulldog, what are you? An in-between Bulldog, of course! And that’s where we meet Razzoo.
Somehow, Razzoo ended up in a small country town, living underneath a porch, far from neighbors and even farther from town. I picked him up on Wednesday, and that was the last time I actually touched him. Poor little guy is absolutely mortified by this whole turn of events.
He’ll come close enough to let you admire him, but his current policy is very much LOOK, DON’T TOUCH, PLEASE. If Razzoo were a cat, we’d call him feral. Since he’s a Bulldog, we’ll call him a work in progress!
We’ve reached an understanding. He has his space to run laps through the house, and I have the pleasure of getting to know one of the cutest little Bulldogs who’s come home with me in a very long time. I’m not going to push him or scare him any more than he’s already been scared. My hope is that, over the next few days, he’ll feel comfortable enough to let me put a harness on him so we can at least take a walk together.
I’m pretty sure a DNA test would come back with some French Bulldog mixed in, along with a healthy dose of PERFECTION.
We think Razzoo is around 18 months to 2 years old. He still needs to be neutered and brought up to date on his vaccinations, but what he really needs is a family with patience, love and kindness. Someone who understands that trust takes time, and that sometimes the best way to win a heart is to simply give it room to breathe.
Razzoo has a lot to figure out about this new world he’s landed in. We’re going to let him do it at his own pace. One day, hopefully, that little guy who currently says “look, don’t touch” will discover that being loved isn’t so scary after all.

Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue needs more foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! Our fosters make it possible for us to take in Bulldogs who need a safe place to land, whether they’re scared, confused, medically needy or simply looking for a fresh start.
We provide veterinary care through our trusted partner vets, and foster families provide the food, a safe home and the patience and love these dogs need to blossom.
We can adopt to approved families throughout the country, but our foster families must live in the DFW area so they’re close to our partner veterinarians and can participate in our public events.
You don’t have to be a dog trainer or have all the answers. You just have to be willing to give a Bulldog a chance. Could you open your home to a dog who needs you? Message us to learn more.
