10/7/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Rip Wheeler to our rescue family.
Sometimes all it takes is one person who refuses to look the other way.
Because someone spoke up when they saw the condition these Bulldogs were living in, 5-year-old Rip Wheeler and his best friend, Beth Dutton, were finally given a way out. It took some convincing, but on Sunday, they left that life behind and joined rescue.
Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton were raised to be baby makers, but that never happened. They survived in a backyard enclosure that sat on rock, with very little space and very little to look forward to. Their world was small, and the days were long.
But through all of it, Rip Wheeler had Beth Dutton. And he is devoted to her.
Rip Wheeler has some skin problems we’re working to get under control, but ask him what matters most and the answer seems pretty obvious: Beth Dutton. He follows her, stays close to her and doesn’t want to be away from her.
After spending five years in the same little world, these two finally have the chance to discover what life can be like when someone cares about them.
No more rock. No more tiny enclosure. No more being valued for what they could produce.
Just two 5-year-old Bulldogs who deserve to be loved for exactly who they are.
And Rip Wheeler’s going to make sure Beth Dutton never has to face this new adventure alone.

While we can adopt our Bulldogs to approved families across the country, our foster families must live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area so they can stay close to our partner veterinarians and participate in our public events.
