10/27/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Rocko Enzo to our rescue family.
At 4 years old, Rocko Enzo is about 40 pounds of Bulldog perfection. Well, almost. This handsome boy has one big challenge: he struggles to breathe. He needs soft palate surgery to help him live a healthier, more comfortable life.
Rocko Enzo’s road to rescue began in a rather unusual place: Facebook Marketplace, where he was listed as FREE. A family stepped up to give him a home, likely thinking they were getting lucky by bringing home such a wonderful dog. But there’s an important lesson here: bringing home a dog for free doesn’t mean caring for that dog is free. And with some Bulldogs, those costs can be significant.
Beyond food, supplies, routine veterinary visits and preventive care, some Bulldogs can have medical needs that require specialized treatment and expensive surgery. Rocko Enzo’s family discovered they weren’t financially prepared for the care he needed, including the soft palate surgery that could help him breathe more easily.
Owning a dog means planning for the unexpected, too. When a dog needs medical care that a family simply cannot afford, love alone may not be enough to make it possible to provide that care.
That’s where Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue comes in. Rocko Enzo is now in our care, and we’re committed to getting him the veterinary attention he needs so he has a chance at a healthier future.
Rocko Enzo didn’t choose his circumstances, and he certainly didn’t ask to struggle for every breath. But with the help of our supporters, we can give this sweet boy a fresh start.
Please keep Rocko Enzo in your thoughts as we work toward getting him the surgery he needs. Your support helps us take on cases like his and reminds us that no Bulldog should miss out on needed medical care.
