Rocky Top

Man, do I have a story for you.

First, my particulars. I’m a 6-year-old big fella who is completely happy and healthy…. maybe too healthy at 70 pounds, but hey, my food’s just so yummy!

I have lived with the same family my whole life, since I was a puppy. But as you guys probably know, life comes at you fast.

My best bud grew up and left home to start his life and I just didn’t fit in the picture anymore. No sad faces for me though because that rescue truck pulled up and BAM, it was time to roll!

When I got to Foster Dad’s house I got to meet another big guy who called himself Boss (man, is he gonna learn a lesson…hehehe) and another fur sister and they both seem pretty cool. I get along great with other puppers, kitties and little humans too. I’m pretty big though, so they gotta watch out!

I do all my “business” outside and I absolutely LOVE having my own crate. It’s like having my own bedroom and who doesn’t love that?

I am working on a little habit that I’ve heard isn’t really appreciated. I get excited real easily and the only way I know how to express it is by humping. Boss said Foster Dad is a little on the crazy side and he bets that this guy can help me out with that.

Boss just told me something I thought was pretty cool, “No Bulldogs left behind.” I like that. Anyways, ta-ta for now!

10/25/21 Update:  Well a BIG Howdy Doo everybody!  Rocky here with a little review of my new digs. Since I moved in last week I have really come to kinda like this place. Foster Mom and Dad cannot stop talking about how “cute” my face is!  I prefer “Handsome”, “Stunning”, “Striking”, “Sexy”, you get it, but it’s ok, at least they’re talking about me. Foster Dad keeps telling me how proud he is of me because I haven’t had a single accident in the house. Well of course I haven’t, Dad. I do have some home training after all. I am really bonding with my bud Boss, we even moved into a Bulldog condo together and have sleepovers every night!

I’m a pretty shy guy and I love to lay around and nap all day long. My favorite spot is my crate!  I really feel safe in there but hey, I can nap anywhere.

Foster Dad is a little worried about me though, I have been limping quite a bit since I got here. It hurts a little but he gives me massages every night. I get to see this Doctor person I keep hearing about on Wednesday and I hear she is a miracle worker so I am really looking forward to it! I have a little patch on my side that is kinda irritating too but Dad keeps that medicated and he says it will go away real soon. That’s all for now folks, me and Boss have some games to play before bed. Hug a Bulldog for me and remember, “No Bulldog left behind!”

11/4/21 Update:  I wanna say a big Howdy to all my fans!  Foster dad said we have to get cleaned up this weekend so we can go to something called a Bulldog Bonanza!  I’m not real sure what that is but I like Bulldogs, and I love Bonanzas so I say Sign me up!!!  I can’t wait to meet all you folks this Sunday so make sure to come out and say Hi!!!!  Remember, “No Bulldog Left Behind!”

12/3/21 Update:  I’ve been busy this past month. I made an appearance at the Bar 2909 rescue event and signed some autographs for my adoring fans. I also took a trip to see the one and only Dr. Larsen, as well as helped out with an obedience class as a demonstration pupper! Yup, yours truly is famous!

One hiccup though. After I saw Doc, she told me I had encountered a nasty bugger outside and contracted Lyme disease. She told me not to worry though and gave me some medicine that would kick its butt very soon. My foster mom and dad have been making me special treats to go with my medicine, so to be honest, it ain’t too bad!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know I did! After my appearances this past month, you might want to get your applications in early because I know people are wanting to be matched to me! Keep us Bulldogs in your prayers and remember: “No Bulldog Left Behind!”
