Rosie Mae

Today was a big day for me: my adoption day! I have checked out of rescue and into my new forever home. Such an exciting time for me!

I have been looking through the approved applications for the family who I knew would be perfect for me. And when I saw this application, I knew they would be the one for me. Active, with kids and works from home.

They understand that snacks are a necessity for me and they will let me continue to be the “cleanup lady.”

In my foster home, I was known as “the hungry one.” When anyone else left kibble in their bowl and walked away, I was right there to finish it off. No food was wasted in my foster home. And with winter coming, I felt like I might need some extra padding to keep from freezing.

My new dad is David and Tara is my new mom. I have two new friends that are my size, Owen and Emmie. They brought a bag of treats with them and we are now best friends. Also, they admitted that they occasionally drop food on the floor, so now I’ll take the place of all that extra vacuuming at their home. I love goldfish and so do my new skin brother and sister!

My mom brought me a new sweater because the cold weather is coming. She said she picked out the colors that would best match my fur. She did a great job and on my way back to Austin, I will be warm and fashionable!

So, see you later rescue. It’s been fun, but now it’s all about me, my new family and making all my dreams come true!

My first family who got me as a baby sold me to another family.  My new family loved me very much. We were a house full of nothing but girls!

I was having a good life, but then I heard a lot of talk about inflation and hard times, and I still needed to have a surgery. It was a difficult decision, but they knew surrendering me would be the best option for my future.

I am a gorgeous 4-year-old “Red Bull.” The rescue lady tells me that I am a TRUE RED HEAD. She said that she hasn’t ever seen a red girl as beautiful as me and that I have the softest, most velvety red fur!

She told me that I am going to hang out here at her mini ranch for a few days until the Doc Lady is ready to see me. She says the Doc Lady loves big thick girls like me to sit in her lap and have some girl talk. I can’t wait for her to pet my soft velvety fur and chat.

So far, the rescue lady has learned that I can sit, lay down, take treats from her hand ever so gently and I’m crate trained and potty trained. I love car rides and I love walks. I also get along with cats.

Once I have recovered from my surgery to remove the baby-making parts, I will be ready to start looking through the approved applications for a furever family who would like to add a spicy red head to their lives!

9/26/22 Update:  I’m going to the Bulldog Bonanza today at Hollywood Feed in Allen! I can hardly wait until everyone meets me. They are going to be amazed at how beautiful I am. I bet everyone will scream and shout!

I’m 4 years old and have loved every loveable Bulldog in the house. I also have tried to get everyone to play with me. Some will, some will not.

I look forward to meeting you!
