Starbright’s morning started off a bit sleepy but she knew it was an adventure day when her foster mom pulled out her new harness and leash! StarBright met her new family and loved all the special loves and attention she was given by Debbie and John and her new sister! Even more exciting is she has two new fur siblings to love on and play with! Cheers to the amazing new family and life sweet StarBright so deserves! Only happy days ahead!
I have been ready for rescue for a while!
You probably can tell from my fur that there was a rumble at my house – and I was on the receiving end. I didn’t want to fight, but there was a Bulldog there who did and she chose me as her target. It was hard to get away.
My mom has really been working on my cuts and on my fur. She let me sit in her lap a lot while I was healing. We both decided I needed to leave before the fights started happening again. By the way, the only thing I did last time was look over at the dog’s babies and that made the dog “fighting mad.” Maybe she knew I thought the babies weren’t that cute. They aren’t… but I wasn’t going to tell her that!
Dr. Larsen has some special potions that will continue to help me heal and before you know it, I will be perfect again.
12/13/22 Update: Starbrite is the sweetest old soul who loves to lay by your feet and enjoy your company. She will trek outside with you (even when it’s raining!) and keep you company, no matter how boring you are.
12/16/22 Update: Have you met this shining star? It’s foster girl Starbrite!
She’s hoping you make a wish to add a Bulldog to your family because we have more than 70 in need of homes, with more waiting to come into our program.
12/20/22 Update: Foster Mom says they don’t come much sweeter than me. I love to follow her around and lay with her in her chair. She says I am a great snuggler.
12/29/22 Update: I’ve been working on my manners here at my foster home. My foster mom says I am a great helper with the chores as I follow her everywhere!
I got to see the cows and chickens today and just watched them. Foster Mom was proud because I didn’t chase them! I don’t chase cats either.
I admitted to Foster Mom that I’m the one who knocks over the food bucket (I had blamed it on Josie Grace). She said we will just keep working on making good choices!
1/10/23 Update: Starbrite is still her foster mom’s shadow. She oves to follow me around and snuggle up! She is not a fan of the vacuum or the espresso machine, but seems to enjoy the cat’s company. She is an easy keeper who loves being in the center of the chaos.
1/19/23 Update: Starbrite is such an old soul and lives to hold down the couch. Although she is not fond of the vacuum cleaner (or the espresso grinder), she loves to snuggle with her foster mom and provide her with moral support while doing chores. She is crate trained, has never had a potty accident and always stays close by. She is great with other dogs and kids, bathes easily and ignores the cat. What more could you ask for?
1/25/23 Update: My favorite part of the day is when I get to lounge on the couch or my favorite bed.
I still am not a fan of the vacuum cleaner (or the espresso machine) because I don’t want them to eat my Foster Mom! I’d be happy to protect you from the evils of your house too!
I’m looking for a home (with kids, cats, dogs, etc.) that has a cozy couch or bed where I can snuggle with you and be a part of the family! I do love to be underfoot and help out!
2/3/23 Update: Starbrite has been enjoying cozying up in the house and avoiding the outdoors as much as possible this week. She is not a fan of the ice or the cold. She prefers a warm bed or chair. Foster Mom has allowed her to miss out on the every three-hour potty breaks because she is fully potty trained! Starbrire has her eye recheck with Dr Larsen this week to make sure her deep eye ulcer is healed!
2/21/23 Update: Starbrite loves to snooze on the couch or chair in her spare time. She would make a wonderful companion for an older dog or even a younger one who loves to play (but is not too scary). Starbrite is so easy to have around and loves to be doted on.
