Waylon

Waylon

So, I met these great people. They said the were my new fur parents. I was like, “Cool, let’s go!” And off I went to La Vernia, Texas. I’m loving my new life and my morning walks with my dad. Thank you to everyone who helped me while I was in rescue and to Dr. Larsen for fixing my sore eye! Love, Waylon

My name is Waylon and today I joined rescue!

I am 4 years old and I had the same mom for all those years, until one day she could no longer take care of me. So she posted my picture on Facebook and it did not take her long to find me a new home because well let’s face it, I am a handsome fella. So about  a month ago I packed my bags and headed off to my new home.  I really enjoyed my new home. I had two very young human sisters that I just loved and they loved me! But what my new mom did not know was that I had some issues that she wasn’t sure how to handle. From what I hear this happens a lot, people want a bulldog, they get a bulldog without doing research, and even though they have the best intentions, they never realize how much work some of us are, and that leads us to today when rescue came to help. So I gave my human sisters kisses and hugs and said my goodbyes.

The nice lady loaded me up and assured my human sisters that I would be loved and would get all the medical help I needed. The rescue lady told me that I am just the right size to sit in a lap so I’ll be headed to sit in a very famous lap very soon! I’ve never known a famous lap so I am pretty excited about sitting in one!

7/4/22 Update:   I moved in with a foster family this week. Guess what? They have toys and I like me some toys (especially the squeaky ones)!

Foster Mom says I’m a diamond of the 1st water (she’s been watching a lot of Bridgerton). She says I have great manners, but don’t get me wrong, if you leave your plate unguarded, I’ll wash it for you!

I only have one eye now, but that doesn’t slow me down at all. I love being outside too. Foster Mom has to make me come in sometimes because she says it’s too hot to stay out for long.

I play very well with my fur sibling… Odin and I like to wrestle!

I hope everyone has a great holiday and that I get to meet my furever family soon.

7/14/22 Update:  This week, I helped Foster Mom cook. Well, she dropped something and of course, being such a good helper (she has a broken arm and all), I picked it up.

When Foster Dad came in the room, he asked me what I had. He said, “Oh, no. He has a butter wrapper.”

I didn’t know what the big deal was… after all, I had already licked it clean for him.

Well, that night I knew why he was so concerned. I woke Foster Mom up three  times that night for potty breaks. I had a bad belly ache.

She made me a special breakfast with rice and chicken. It was supper yummy and I got to eat it for supper too.

It took a few days, but I’m all better now and back to my playful self!

Have a great week, everyone!

7/23/22 Update:   Let me tell you: this heat is interfering with my outdoor play time!

So anyway, my foster family and I went on a road trip to Arkansas this weekend. Foster Mom says I ride in a car like a champ.

Once there, I totally smoozed my foster aunt Denise. I gave her my most handsome face and whined just a little and BOOM…. I was in bed helping her sleep! Anyone need a sweet loving boy? I’m a ladies’ man and ready to please!
