4/27/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Willow Grace to our rescue family! Last week, Willow Grace was found wandering around town all on her own. Tired, hot and ready for a break, she didn’t mind when animal services picked her up. What she didn’t expect was that no one came looking for her.
It’s hard to believe, because Willow Grace is truly something special. She’s young, petite and beautiful, with a sweet spirit that would make her anyone’s best friend. But her story is just beginning, and we know her happy ending is still ahead.
Willow Grace was so excited to leave the shelter behind and join our rescue, where she’s finally getting the care she deserves. She’ll need to be spayed and have her cherry eye repaired, and then she’ll be ready to find the loving home she’s been waiting for.

We can only save dogs like Willow Grace when we have loving foster families ready to open their homes. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the time. You truly make lifesaving work possible.

10/5/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: When we picked up Willow Grace, we were told to make sure she didn’t get too excited. Well, if this girl got any more laid-back, we’d have to check for a pulse.
Willow Grace is basically one big, squishy, sweet lump of Bulldog. She is incredibly polite and gentle and has settled in beautifully. She gets along great with the other dogs and even the cat, although she will occasionally challenge her fellow Bulldogs when a toy is involved. Apparently, some things are worth fighting for.
She has no problem eating whatsoever. She does great going outside to potty, although we’ve had a few accidents along the way. She also does wonderfully in her crate and sleeps through the night.
Getting her into the crate, however, is a different story. When Willow Grace decides she doesn’t want to go to bed, or doesn’t want to do something else, she has a clever little strategy: become a speed bump. She simply plants herself on the floor and becomes approximately 100 pounds heavier.
Other than her occasional speed-bump impersonation, Willow Grace is proving to be an absolute sweetheart. She’s gentle, easygoing and perfectly content to take life at her own very leisurely pace.
10/11/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: For better or worse, this squishy girl, Willow Grace, has discovered that she can, in fact, BARK! And now she has a few things to get off her chest.
Morning wake-up call: Willow Grace will let you know when she’s ready to get out of her crate and head outside. Who needs an alarm clock when you have a Bulldog?
Breakfast report: She’ll announce when she’s finished eating. Apparently, the kitchen staff needs to be informed.
Neighborhood watch: If the neighbors dare to venture outside, Willow Grace is on the case. They’re probably up to no good, and someone needs to sound the alarm!
The 4 a.m. bark fest: Oh, yes. Her Chihuahua-mix foster brother starts it, and Willow Grace is more than happy to join the chorus. Because apparently, the entire neighborhood needs to know it’s 4 a.m.
All kidding aside, Willow Grace is a pretty darn good girl! Every now and then, though, she likes to remind the smaller dogs who’s boss. Her preferred technique is SUMO WRESTLING! Why use words when you can simply squish your opponent into submission?
She’s a whole lot of Bulldog packed into one gloriously squishy package, and life with Willow Grace is definitely never boring.
11/1/26 UPDATE ~ We’re looking to find a great home for Willow Grace! From her foster momma: Willow Grace still seems convinced she’s the boss of the house, but her Frenchie foster brother continues to challenge that position. The household power struggle is apparently ongoing.
Meanwhile, she’s still not quite sure what to make of the cat. He definitely knows how to get her riled up, especially when it’s time for a little cat parkour! And just to keep things interesting, Willow Grace recently decided to make a dog bed explode. So, there’s that. 😂
On the sweeter side, she’s still an expert napper and particularly enjoys couch cuddles with her foster dad. That’s definitely one of her favorite pastimes!
This week, she got to go on a little car ride. She’s not a fan of getting INTO the car, but once she’s settled, she actually enjoys the ride.
Through all the household shenanigans, Willow continues to be her wonderful self and is patiently waiting for that special someone to come along and make her dreams come true.
