It is with great sadness we announce that sweet Acorn passed away unexpectedly in the middle of the night in his foster home. He spent such a short time in rescue, but he knew he was greatly loved and cherished. Run free sweet boy.
On November 17 I was picked up as a stray and little did I know that was the day my life would change forever. In fact I am going to say that that was the happiest day of my life. You have no idea how bad I smell and how many fleas and flea bites I have. And the back of my ears are raw from scratching and flies have taken the fur off the top of my ears.
The lady that came to rescue me named me Acorn because it is a nice Fall name. I am not an old bulldog, I am actually young.
I don’t know when my family decided they did not want me, maybe they never wanted me. By the way I smell I am thinking they decided that I should just live outside because I smell like something rotting. Both of my eyes hurt and each has a cherry eye. The shelter workers would not touch me because they said I might bite them. I wanted to tell them that I could barely see them, and if I do react it is because of my vision. I hope that the family who had me see’s me now in rescue. I want them to know how horrible they treated me, and that finally someone saved me.
Today I joined rescue and today is the best day of my life. My name is Acorn and today someone saved me.
