INTRODUCTION: Brrr!! It was so cold out there, I think I got a bit of a brain freeze!

I don’t really remember where I came from or how I got lost. All I remember is this kind family finding me, wrapping me up to warm me, and taking me to the shelter to see if I had a microchip or if my family would come for me. My new shelter friends gave me a soft, warm bed that felt amazing, but after a few days of waiting, I was still twiddling my paws. No one came looking for me.

Then, today, the rescue wagon arrived! Everyone was so excited for me because they knew rescue would find me the perfect home. They told me I’d never be lost again and that someone would always love me. They even gave me a new name—Chett—and I really like it!

I’m still very young, probably around a year old. Right now, I’m a little skinny and weak from being out in the cold and not getting enough food, but with some good meals and exercise, I’ll be back to full strength in no time. I love people, and the other dogs I’ve met have been great too. I walk well on a leash and I’m just looking for a home where I can be loved and never have to worry about being lost again.

I also need to have something done with my eye, and I’ve heard something about a neuter—whatever that is—but after that, I’ll be all ready to meet my new family. I can’t wait to meet you!
