Elle Claire

Elle Claire

7/11/26 FOREIVER IN OUR HEARTS ~ We had hoped this update would have a much happier ending.

When Elle Claire came into rescue just a few days ago, we knew she was uncomfortable. Our hope was simple: get her the medical care she desperately needed, help her heal and then find her the loving home she deserved.

Instead, we received the news every rescuer dreads.

The diagnostics revealed that Elle Claire was suffering from advanced bladder cancer. The disease had already progressed too far, and there were no treatment options that could give her a good quality of life. The kindest gift we could give her was a peaceful goodbye.

Our hearts are broken.

We wish we had met Elle Claire weeks… or even months… sooner. We can’t help but wonder if an earlier diagnosis might have changed her story. Sadly, by the time she reached us, her body had already been fighting a battle she could not win.

Although her time with us was far too short, she did not leave this world alone. She left with people who loved her, advocated for her and made sure her suffering came to an end with dignity and compassion. Every dog deserves that.

Thank you to everyone who kept Elle Claire in your thoughts. Because of you, her final chapter was one of kindness, comfort and love.

Run free, sweet Elle Claire. Your pain is gone now, and you will always be a part of the Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue family.

Until we meet again,🌈

7/7/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Elle Claire to our rescue family.

It’s been a rough road for Elle Claire.

For weeks, she has struggled to urinate. When she could go, it was only tiny drops (sometimes no bigger than a dime) and they were often tinged with blood. Each round of antibiotics seemed to help for a short time, but as soon as the medication ended, her symptoms came right back.

Late last night, her owner contacted us and said he could no longer care for her. This morning, one of our incredible volunteers picked her up and got her safely into rescue. She is now at the veterinary hospital, where we’re hoping to finally get answers… but, more importantly, get Elle Claire some much-needed relief. No dog should have to live in pain like this.

A huge thank you to Sonia for dropping everything to help Elle Claire get to us today. Because of her quick response, Elle Claire is finally where she needs to be.

Please keep this sweet girl in your thoughts as we wait to learn more about the vet’s findings. We’ll share an update as soon as we know more.

Dallas/Fort Worth area foster homes needed! Elle Claire is safe today because we had space available. Are you ready to open up space in your home and heart too? Without foster families, we can’t say “yes” to dogs who need us most. Send us a message to learn more.
